Hard Working

I’ve worked hard, my muscles are sore.
It’s hard to sleep because I snore.
She said, “it’s time, I’ll have no more,
To the couch”, she evened the score.

Don’t think bad of her, she was right.
After all this was the third straight night.
I had the chance to save my plight,
The choice to work on wasn’t bright.

Another day’s work still to do,
I guess I could just hire a crew.
Straighten it up when they are through.
What to do, I don’t have a clue.

I need to learn to slow the pace.
Take a few days, it’s not a race.
Fruit trees and flowers all in place.
Puts a smile on my sweetheart’s face.
