in a gentle way, the snap of a weed -

magical
in small
hands,
armed
with strength.
child leads us
through heaven’s gate.
reaching out for his gift…a worthless weed?
a worthwhile grace, at first, seems dead to us.

in its stead,
opens
graves.
sun
shining
