Oldie's Gripe

                                    Mothers don't stay home anymore,
These days they're up and out the door,
Families are so much smaller now,
                                        Housework is a drag, anyhow.

Where, oh where, did the old ways go,
That is what I will never know.

No one likes teaching much these days,
Too many brats with nasty ways,
When I was young we'd hardly speak,
                                     Never mind about giving cheek.

Where, oh where, did the old ways go,
That is what I will never know.

These days girls are no longer chaste,
                                     Losing innocence with all haste,
Far too many are on the pill,
They just can't wait to get that thrill.

Where, oh where, did the old ways go,
That is what I will never know.

As for men, well, what do you think?
Most of them are the worse for drink,
Each time their team loses a game,
Their wives are smacked to take the blame.

Where, oh where, did the old times go,
That is what I will never know.

Not entirely a personal opinion!
