The Real Scoop On Making Poetry Soup
This poem aims to give the scoop
on how we conjure up poetry soup.
For many it is clear to see
that they prefer a recipe.
Limerick, lanterne or haiku
perhaps a one lined monoku stew,
Bouillabaisse ballad, clerihew consommé
so many forms for the soup of the day.
and for others
sprinkle of saffron, pinch of sage
Organic bone broth, hearts of celery
hormone free chicken breast, carrot chunks
swirl and simmer together, creating
palate pleasing poem du jour.
