Manage contests by poetry form. If your contest focuses on a specific form, you will be able to accept poems written in that form of poetry only. Contest entrants will only be able to enter poems designated as that form.This will help minimize contest entries that do not adhere to contest rules.

PoetrySoup has made a change so that ads must be enabled to use PoetrySoup. Why? Without advertising-income, PoetrySoup can't make website enhancements. We want to continue to make PoetrySoup better. We also want to keep PoetrySoup alive and it is expensive to maintain an international website like PoetrySoup. Thus, since PoetrySoup is a free website (and we want to keep it that way), ads must be enabled to use it.

You can now view replies to your comment in your Inbox. See replies to your comments all in one place.

Premium Members can now embed YouTube performances of their poems too.
- Go to the My Poems page
- Edit the poem you want to attach the YouTube video to.
- Scroll to the bottom of the page to the “Embed YouTube Video Code” section.
- Insert the YouTube embed code and submit.

We are beta testing a new feature. Premium Members can now attach audio to their poems. Attach an audio file of your recited poem! Let others hear the way it was meant to be heard and read.To attach audio to a poem do the following:
- Go to the My Poems page
- Edit the poem you want to attach audio to
- Scroll to the bottom of the page to the “Upload Audio for Poem...” section.
- Upload the mp3 audio file or link to an mp3 audio file already on the internet.
IMPORTANT: Max file size = 3 MB...about 3 minutes for a compressed mp3 file. Compress your audio file before uploading. For files over 3mb you must link to the audio file on the internet or something like free audio cloud storage

Premier Contests
These are contests that you, as a Premium Member, can sponsor that adhere to certain basic PoetrySoup contest standards. For instance:
- Premier contests can only have one winner per place. For example, there cannot be three 1st place winners, six 2nd place winners, etc.
- You can choose up to a maximum of 10 winners per contest.
- You can finalize a contest, close a contest, and email winners at one time and all from the contest winner's page.
- Winner's page has an easy to use interface for easy dynamic reordering of poem placements.
- Your contest's 1st place winners will have a trophy next to their poem on the website.
FYI, you cannot change the contest type of existing contests. This will only take effect on new contests.
Standard Contests
This is the previous contest format. It has not changed. These are contests where you, as a Premium Member, control how many poems place per placement. For example, these contests can have three 1st place winners, six 2nd place winners, etc. However, these contests do not have the ability to email winners.

You can now export all of your poems in one fell swoop!
This is a new feature and is being tested (with your help). Formatting may not work on all export options. Also, this feature may not work with accounts that have thousands of poems. You'll just have to test it and see if it works for you.
Anyway, this new export feature provides an easy way to backup your poems.
