She Is the Cat Who Would Be Queen
She was the cat who would be queen
She practiced her royal curtsy every day
I tried not to be unkind or mean
But she had no ties to royal clay
She spent hours in front of a mirror.
Speaking to her subjects with finesse’
Her siblings rolled their eyes when they were near
They laughed at her speech and dress.
Why do you put on these airs? Asked her mother..
She is persnickety and picks off all kinds of fuzz.
It embarrasses me said her oldest godbrother.
But she kept on keeping on, because it is what she does.
