Smile

Smile, you are sitting there telling me to smile when the entire universe is going wild; smile, you are telling me to smile when the bills are not paid, the salaries are delayed and for four years I have not been paid; Smile, you are telling me to smile when my dignity is trampled to the ground any you have me on a merry-go-round marching me around the town with my hand and feet bound.

Smile, you are telling me to smile when for four long years, I have been sleeping on the ground taking my daily bath in a paint pan surviving on a diet of flour and rice with no meat, vegetable, or honey .I have to beg money to buy these things because it is the cheapest thing that you can get with little money and now and then I will add a tin mackerel to strengthen my legs and prevent me from falling into the ditch.

Smile, you are telling me to smile, when you are playing politics all the time and business is all that I have on my mind, you don’t care a dam about people you are looking for some big name that will drive you insane, you will never sit in that chair again, neither in this life or the life to come,.

You have ripped the quiet family apart, and cause her dignity to depart, you have turn them against one another, but time is on your side for the wicked will not survive. I want you out of the country before the next moon rise. Go and look for your wife that you have murdered and bury in the valley and pile up trash on her before you cover her with dirt and bury her in the alley.

Smile, you are telling me to smile, when I want to leave but I don’t have a dime. Smile, you are telling me to smile when I don’t know which direction is right to reinvent my life and create another show. I will build it from scratch with all that I’ve got, I will build house and castles, industries and companies, I will build a brand new televisions station and hire a million angels, you will not be able to compete with me when I stand on top of the mountain and watch you reminiscing in the valley.

You are telling me to smile when I have lost my appetite to participate in your jokes and I have to workup courage to do the show; it’s Monday morning for heaven sake, stop dragging your tired body around the place, take your chicken curry into the kitchen and give me grilled chicken and potato salad to compliment my white frock.

Smile, you are telling me to smile when all I wanted was to spend a couple hours and read this chapter with you to make my dream come true. See, I am smiling, I am waiting for you.
