Night Terrors

The dark

                                dimly lit

    Shivering shadows
                                           strange     scratching sounds

                  Amplifying

                                                              goosebumps


                        Hair standing on end

                                                                    sleep denied

                          Fear buried

                                                                          beneath the blankets

                                White faced in the morning
