Narrow Margin

First printouts show Number One's, ahead, a feigned smile fades to a small office, two arms outstretched hold a desk instead, one ponders deeply surprising spread, one knew the field and tallies--cautious. Too close for comfort--it is strangling, for one with a compulsive pursuit, an icon mirage, cause a fawning, absorbs a sense of disbelieving, divert attention, be as dilute. Must be maintained for the next printout, Cannot lose it--oh no not that--ME! Aboveboard campaign? Not beyond doubt. Positioning me a bit squeezed out, Who? Someone closer -- an enemy! Of course, C O R L E O N E, crafts of the art, 'twas pertinent familial ties ... the joysticks hers, from the very start, of course, mommy dearest -- M A T R I A R C H! and what of I, fleas, or butterflies? Will I be battered about, -- stepped on! or will I be free to roam and be? Yes sir, no sir, three bags from this pawn? As I skimmed amongst colleagues ... the swan -- sees ... first print ... raised glasses, CHEERS, indeed! The second printout's, more of the same, she'll pull the puppet strings that she owned, the final printout assured her claim. Rumors state-rigged elections mainframe? "By a narrow margin, We're dethroned?"
