Reservoir of Solace
below the lake of placid calmness
imbuing the ruse of ill-defined peace
surging floodwaters of fate
break through underground rivers
enshrouded and silently hidden
within self-made walls of our discontent
promises of refuge flow
in lairs of a ghost river’s crypt beneath
cleansing the treacherous tides of destiny
purging burdened rocks and sediment
of our shoreless earthbound grief
to break through the fissures of despair
emerging in the cauldrons of hope
jutting high building a monument to truth
touching the borderless sky of forgiveness
frozen bygone tears cache in pinnacle spires
glistening in the beams of profound justice
reaching for the warming of the steadfast sun
to melt the hurt of each grief undone
