Why Don't You Stay

Written: March 29, for Robert James Liguori Contest ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ A wise anile saying sticks in my head, I've been hoping that you're unique, you said. You're not alone; you've just been sorry, I'm eager to meet you; I feel your image starry.  Whatever you wanted me to do, I would do, I pledge to support you every day, too. I worry, dear, as you must stay on track, And asking, will you kindly come back?  Honey, won't you please stay? It feels as if you've made up your mind to leave. Please, sweetie, do not go away, Never lose faith; continue to believe.    Darling, won't you please stay? Let's embark on a fresh start. I realize that you're in search of a way, We should have a sincere heart-to-heart.   I vow to support you without fail every day, So don't hesitate to let your emotions grow. Sweetie, won't you please stay? I will be here waiting for you; I won't let you go. You are both my friend and my healer, You're the only one who can mend my heart. You are the source of both pain and feeler, Smitten me, let me die, or beat me to start.   No thrill in delight, no glum in gloominess, Strange in the land, but just in your head. Unbiased of personal interest or spuminess, I'm ecstatic; I adore you and our hidden stead. Ask stars how is my conduct and pantomime, I dream around your whims and can't sleep. To what extent does anyone realize at this time? Only you matter in this instance, for me to keep.
