Insidious like cancer
Concealed, deceptive
A thief in the night
The treacherous friend –
This is Doubt.
Radiance incomparable
Like ten thousand suns ablaze
An epiphanous marvel
The support beneath your wings –
This is Faith.
Unsteady as a rope bridge
Stretching across a chasm
A blind leap into uncertainty
The confidence of a believer –
This is Trust.
Glorious like the Almighty’s mercy
Having the capacity to heal or hurt
All-consuming yet self-sacrificing
The power that grants immortality –
This is Love.
