Mother
The latent potentialities
Presented by my preoccupation
Of being a perfect mother
My perceptions of all others
So skewed to positivity
Predicting they provide perfection
So I'm in pursuit of levels of
Presence and productivity
That possibly are pressure I don't need
Instead of perceiving accurately
The places my parenting practice is
already something to be proud of
Perspective is a wonderful thing
The pragmatic approach can be practical
Showing proactivity with partnership
Permission to be imperfect
Is also of prime importance
For them to be perfectly patient with themselves
My own provisos for personal preferences
Is that I am present and perceptive
Play is prioritised and love is promised always
I take a pedagogical approach and
Try to promote resolution to problems
Poised for perpetual peace of mind and self belief
