The Collaboration Game
Myself and Wendy played the collaboration game of writing a line each and this is what we came up with. The nightmare prompt had just been and gone at the time - so that became an influencing factor in what appeared, definitely a fun game, despite the dark poem that occurred!
Shifting images too real to be a dream
Is there a message within the silent scream
Terror envelops my form, frozen in fear
Abstract visions, outside the lucid sphere
Intangible feelings stir an urge for escape
Claw at my mind trying to reshape
Shadows with eyes that invade my mind
No fight left, to my fate, resigned
Has this bed become my tomb, my grave
Where is the foe that did enslave
Will this creature materialise at the end of my bed
Or just forever reside within my head
