Ahh, the overly adorning mantles that sheathe nature-appropriated act
...my breath was taken away ... everything was literally coming up cactuses... nothing like this was mentioned in the brochure ... oozing spring water fed the cactuses ... it was a desert hotel that sat in the middle of a sea made of sand-
-did I say deserted hotel? On our arrival we're met by
beautiful-looking people who gave us each a kiss .. of
chocolate plus hats, and pet animals made of coconut
palms, lunch was served and we washed our hands and told to place our palms in the umbrella stands ... swimwear at all fine dining establishments is required. The lounge had the usual Grasshopper creme de menthe and Bees Knees honey-gin and Barking Spider orange tequila ... the camels having
dates with pineapple pina coladas ... in the back were the tents and
campgrounds with standing surf and boogie boards ... nature
maps and people's disjointed trailing vanishes into the
verdancy of the living fullness of nature's abyss ...
evaporating strolled soles embedded in grains
of sand and surging waves ... all watched
the sun and moon play tug-of-war in
an ecliptic stand-off ... the boy's red ant farm collection finally getting a fresh coat of chocolate ... lobsters tanning and shrimps sunbathing atop pits of barbeque ... cowboy rodeo steer wrestler tending a spit of what he rode on ... frog legs race and Twain's contribution of the pot of water on a stove ... ugly duckling got uglier and Henny Penny went up to $4.95 ... boys chew and blow gummy bubble balloons as girls with long curls watched in awe--shucks, eww--mom. Now onward to that wide blue yonder way, out there ... then back to that brown yucky stuff--water anyone. Before the concept of an ocean cruise, the very idea had thoughts of Titanic, understandable for the ensuing panic but they had time, rational thought was fleeting but had they thrown furnishings, luggage, mattresses, anything that was floatable, perhaps create a floating island and they'd be hope at least for a few more lives, that is, if a similar situation had occurred. Well, the circumstances of the Lusitania were sadly, quite different. Of nothing to share on the matter other than times of war, considerations should afforded governments to pass edicts that at times of war, vulnerable places should be restricted from civilian travel usage. Sadly, civilian travel continues to be tragically targeted during times of war. In the Baltic Ocean and North Sea of WWII, a fleeing ship of refugees was blown up and rapidly sunk causing the worst maritime disaster of 9,000 to upwards of 13,000 lives lost, the exact count was unknown. Passenger airlines too, like that in Eastern Europe, tragically shot down. Thoughts to share on the matter.
