When a physics teacher loves a biology teacher

A severed umbilical cord is
just the beginning of life,
but the heart binds unhindered
no matter what!
have you seen a mother’s tears
when her child is in harm,
or a bison advance on a wolf pack,
to save its calf?
we feel the pain of distant love,
sometimes the tremors of their longing,
sometimes a cloud of a passing worry,
a missed beat, of an event unseen!
life cannot always be explained
with values of science, nor attractions
through laws of gravity,
a mirror reflects your image,
but does not replicate your personality,
in that simple truth you realise,
the limitations of physics, and the
power of creation beyond the reaches of science.
world we live in - is physical, our bodies are physical,
but projected thoughts and feelings are ethereal,
cannot be computed by any known apparatus.
you know my love, by the sense of your feelings,
I know you, by the sincerity of your thoughts,
when we cease to be, tears still roll down,
from unseen memories,
I shall always remember you,
and love you, for what you represent,
the values we adore, and that bond,
that no nuclear reactor can ever gauge!
So when I say, I love you,
believe me, I do! and I bring no
flowers or cards to say so!
