For IE

At the space between stars
I saw you, glowing fingers
a dark drill in and out; I saw
you— like dust that follows
from planets' clouds.

I saw you— within a strewn coma;
eyes still clear from the
comet— that did not move the petals
framing your glance.

There I saw you— orbit slowing,
star-crossed; but tune
still in unknown radio waves.

You must happen—
to crack the cocoon, for
it melts the butterfly within.

Premium Member The Rook-ie Senator Who Dethroned King Trump

Standing ovations and rounds of applause
The elephants trumpeted just because
T-rump pulled their puppet strings
As if he had Angel wings
They should've been protesting with guffaws

I chose not to watch the bigotted sap
Or hear the hypocrite spew words he'd yap
At the butt kissing event
My time was much better spent
Wondering how people believe his crap

A message in response to Trump's address
Elissa Slotkin spoke of the big mess*
and in ten minutes of time
She was utterly sublime
With "Checkmate" she dethroned Trump's king in chess

*Elissa Slotkin is the newly elected Democratic Senator who delivered the rebuttal to Trump's address to Congress

Premium Member Born In Original Sin ie: BIOs

Statuesque breaths of blossoming beauty bearing thorns.
Flowing fullness of fragrant flowery affairs sheathing weeds.
Without human intervention, such is the truth of nature, such are the facts of life.
According to the scriptures, angels are not earthbound lest they are tasked by Heaven's will.
I, like my family, had fine points and faults, I did good and I did bad, and I did my best to right my wrongs and correct my mistakes like my family did when they were earthbound.
I have painted the truth and not tainted it with flowery falsifications.
My family and I were never angels on earth because we were never tasked for Heaven's sake.
I am earthbound and therefore taxed by my will which is my thorns and weeds, albeit, I am constant in prayer, to flower and bloom in hope and faith.
So my family were never angels then, but now--
no longer earthbound--my entire family are all angels,
... except me.
I am still earthbound, amidst my thorns and weeds, and my flowers and blossoms.
By Heaven's will, I am still grounded (bears somewhat to my parents once termed)
I will continue to shine in the Light of Truth,
Signed the blessed sinner, Amen.

Adventitious Existence Birthed Introverted Spiritual Outlier Ie Me

Adventitious existence birthed introverted spiritual outlier i.e. me

Speculative fictitious flirtation imagined
courtesy grown old male offspring (me)
begat when mine late mother and father met
former named, a popular Arthur Murray
ballroom dance studio instructor.

Subtle social cues (nonverbal or otherwise)
relayed, linkedin and exchanged
constituting courtship between
Harriet and Boyce
particularly on Valentine's Day
circa ~ mid 1950's.

Two young lovebirds
oblivious to cares and concerns
of uncertain webbed wide world
passionately kissed each other
murmuring sweet nothings
within most convenient ear of the other.

Romance blossomed
requited love ensued
avowed marital troth pledged,
a June 1955 wedding planned.

Soon thereafter
bedroom door locked, I presume
unbridled call of the wild
high powered pistol loosed
courtesy soundcloud hit bullseye
with figurative vroom
biological seed of life
and white Lily fertilized.

Thirteen months after eldest sister born
suckling from horn
of good hope
breast nursing done during the morn.

Forthwith brother planted in womb
hereditary characteristics transmitted
eons old traits disseminated
multitude of random chromosomes
deployed comprising frothy spume
housed generations foregone

maternal and paternal genes
unleashed unwittingly bequeathed
by ancestral forebears
anonymous long forgotten handsome groom
memorabilia couched as tintype
(also known as
a melainotype or ferrotype)

treasured analogous as
if relic dug up within ancient tomb,
perhaps clapper and bell foretold whom
yours truly acquired his
mental health predilection
predisposed toward gloom
mindset swirls with nihilistic doom.

Psychological angst chafes and doth abrade
existential crisis rooted psyche with ankh ring
travesty, mockery, and entropy cast charade
circumspection immediately
brings to forefront
of consciousness positive (necessary)

risk taking I did evade
exemplified by failing nearly every grade
inferiority complex insinuated and did invade
mucking up healthy livingsocial buzzfeeding,
when too many cooks spoil the broth,
hence being superfluous kitchenaid,
hence as schnorrer I masquerade.

Technological Glitch With Ebt Ie Food Card

Technological glitch with EBT (i.e.) food card...
at LIDL checkout line

At 4:03 PM on November first
two thousand and twenty,
the missus nsync with yours truly,
(an inimitable average Joe - cur -
biden his time at Royersford, Pennsylvania

LIDL food market)
unexpectedly witnessed cashier
manning checkout aisle number two
to experience technological glitch,
which checkout person patiently,
thru various and sundry attempts

tried to nab ghost in the machine
invariably found register
to display DECLINE
despite one after another
dogged trial and error
deliberately entering $25.79,

the balance remaining
after ALDI purchases rung up today
at 15:27 (military time),
said unnamed cashier
tried his darnedest
to troubleshoot snafu,

while yours truly nonchalantly reports
my superhuman xray vision,
easily observed undetected
immense cerebral activity
silently and soundlessly

appraising amazing faculty
boring him with mine
invisible telescopic quasi proboscis
vicariously discerning himself
he finally managed
to surmount (figuratively)

mind boggling daunting challenge
applying cumulative technical acumen
at long gave last mental
herculean heave ho
to resolve quandary
(after much time elapsed)

subsequently I made mental note
to notify management
first thing in the morning
designating said individual
as (at the least) employee of week award.
