Best Sunshine Poems
Squalling seagulls sip the morning sunshine
Greeting new sun, spanning over vast sea
Wailing upon hills, watching freedom shine
Sprinkling over prairies echoes of glee
Greeting new sun, spanning over vast sea
Sailing air on pointed bills and webbed feet
Sprinkling over prairies echoes of glee
Grabbing fish, hunting crabs, feasting on treat
Sailing air on pointed bills and webbed feet
Circling green oceans, conquering blue sky
Grabbing fish, hunting crabs, feasting on treat
Reigning winds, above the cliffs, thrusting high
Circling green oceans, conquering blue sky
Traversing sunlit designs, boasting zest
Reigning winds, above the cliffs, thrusting high
Flaunting flexing wings of enchanting quest
Traversing sunlit designs, boasting zest
Glancing marigold scenes on amber arc
Flaunting flexing wings of enchanting quest
Eyeing gilded tides where golden rays spark
Glancing marigold scenes on amber arc
Wailing upon hills, watching freedom shine
Eyeing gilded tides where golden rays spark
Squalling seagulls sip the morning sunshine

Out in the freezing rain
Hesitates gray morning
Between winter's end and
Spring's early intentions.
Leafless barren trees
Lining up on my street
Glitter sluggishly
Tiny frozen droplets
Hanging from twigs and stems
Resembling white gems.
Until young golden rays
Reflect in puddles,
Exposing to my view
Growth of green buds
Emerging from nodes
Where moments before
I saw tiny white pearls.

Day -
dreams drift,
until they drown
in the morning dew
Certainly
circling moments -
those teasing tantalizing
thoughts, sweetly surround you
They
skillfully hide -
poetically from me
. . emotions of mystery magic
Only -
the dew
seems to understand,
those delicious, delicate desires
Longing
to dive -
in pure ecstasy,
the vibrations of you
Playfully . .

~ Longing to linger in Warmth ~
Sunday November 22nd, 2020- Poem of the Week
Golden rays radiate from above
Energising the world with warmth and love
Illuminating our precious earth
Shining light on its true value and worth
Generating a healthy glow
One that thrives, breeds and grows
Flora and fauna bask in its rays
Grateful for the warmth of summer days
Brightening thoughts ,motivating minds
Creating positivity , negativity left behind
Days viewed in a more positive light
One of abundance and sheer delight
Mother Natures free gift to all on this earth
To enjoy, respect and remember its worth!
filtered through cotton-colored clouds
golden rays of sunlight emerge
trapping dancing-dewdrops in their beams
brightening welcoming skies
the meadow an artist's canvas

"I've got sunshine"
TANKA~ 1
This heavyweight wind
jiggles the chimes limbs hanging
sensitively
a thousand sound waves invade
visible radiation
~~~~~
TANKA~ 2
Dark moonlight tempest
blunders off the mountain top
a massive flooring…
the courageous beam of light
saved souls upon meadow blades
~~~~~
TANKA ~3
A place called daylight
where the beam is always pure
luminescence
if you could only feel this
you’d ask to hold the torchlight
~~~~~
TANKA~ 4
Somewhere were you sleep
the fluorescence substance light
absorbs your beauty
every second that you breath
the light becomes like sunshine
~~~~~
TANKA ~5
Sky of falling stars
belong in my diary
notification
renewing my wedding vows
sunshine begins with me
~~~~~
TANKA~ 6
Missed the snooze button;
pendulum rods tick out loud
morning bird and worm;
sunlit curtains smooth rays
anonymous melody
~~~~~
TANKA ~7
Two rainbows petals
peek outside with loneliness
against no sunlight
rainy weather condition
no color will bring you back

You see us everywhere you go
Every corner of your street house our offspring
Every bridge in your city has become our refugee camp
We are the people you call peasant
We are the peasants with pleasant rags
You see us at the entrance of your estates
You see us at the gate of your beautiful companies
In search of what our mouth will feed on next
We are the peasants with pleasant rags
Our gradually fading skin
Now a sweet companion to the midnight moon and afternoon sun
We are the ones without homes
We are the peasants with pleasant rags
When bridges become forbidden by the law
We opt for uncompleted buildings
A few of us get lucky when it rains
And shield themselves under cars
We are the peasants with pleasant rags
We are the ones that beg for the remnant from your table
We are the ones life has just not been fair to
We are the peasants with pleasant rags
We are the ones that get poorer while you get richer
We are the ones that scramble for the leftover at your feast
We are the ones that fight for your used clothes
We are the peasants with pleasant rags
A yellow song about autumn
Leaves falling slowly
May nature embrace me gently
Birds mixing tunes
Of such ecstatic sound
Rising a sweet melody
Creeds and song carried with the wind
in the highest tempo
Kissing one heart priceless gold
Crossing bridges and mountain majesty of the world
Rustling softly breathless whispers treasure
Most quiet need, by autumn sun and candlelight
Like sweet thoughts in a dream
Dazzling of wonder as magical charms
floating flutters gently on a breeze
Delightful day it is for all who dwell
delicately blown upon warm sunlight rays
The sumptuous yearning of summer that left
Breathtaking feeling dance circles around
Viewing elements and seasons as they change
Deeply touches embracing beauty inside
Into the dawn's early and tender caresses
You stand in front of the sun
morning dewdrops upon your vision

A little ray of sunshine
Just a simple phrase
Uplifting human spirit
With warm gentle rays
Silvery silhouettes shine from the moon
On this hallowed night amidst urban glow.
Moments like this always fading so soon
When east meets west and our energies flow.
Watching the stars touch the blackness behind,
We discover the universe above,
As its light penetrates deep in our minds,
So do our hearts open up to its love.
The mysteries of the heavens we see.
The purity of the light from the sky,
The universe shines for you and me
With peace and quiet love for you and I.
In my west starlight shines down on the earth
While in your east sunlight starts a rebirth.

In the depths of January's blustery cold
The poet's life in poems slowly unfolds
A mood of blue is often set
Melancholy seems to be her usual cuddly soft pet
But sometimes the table is quickly turned
Out pours some humor that she learned
Maybe she's bipolar like it's called today
At least a ray of sunshine came her way
Form used 7,7,7, 9 words per stanza, Rhyme scheme aabb, ccdd
There's a path I always take
down to the river where the woods
are dressed down open
The light of the sky
doesn't shine in your eyes
but leads the way to redemption
I like to stand there for a moment
on the shortcut created by troubled feet
woven with wilderness bliss
and cigarettes butts
It's a path that never sleeps
I see the same semi-blind vision
of the river every time
I hear baby boat horns blaring in the distance
and floating out of view
I walk to the rhythm of the trees
the faint sound of Wild Thing
playing in the car
I carry a bent black rod
with a tangled neon line
and a mud-covered box of rusty hooks
and flaming red bobbers
I wear my T-Shirt that says Iron City Beer
that's cut off at the belly
or sometimes my other one
that says Just Do It
with shredded denim shorts
that ride my buttocks
After a few seconds of inhaling
and exhaling an indecision
I do what most fishermen do
with only my thoughts to keep me company
I find a clean rock
and cast with desperation
The woods close
Twenty Pints of Sunshine
David J Walker
It seemed to be the only thing
In abundance on the farm
The light and heat
The shine so bright
Long days
short nights
And work doled out in the mornings
Today we will bottle in bell jars
20 pints of sunshine
And call it canning
A summer seasons planning
Saved for the
Short days
The long nights
Of freezing winter weather
To be opened
It says
When sleet falls in December
When the woods are wet and dreary
When the farm is fallow
When sunshine can only be found
In pint-sized
Bell Jar bottles
Salmon skies rise in the peripheral east
Steely clouds linger then slowly dissipate
Nightfall wanes, as the wide blue canvas brightens
Light lifts the mood, on a summer’s day we’ll feast
In afternoon’s heated blanket we’re caressed
Umbrella blooms shade, mint perfume they release
Skin tones burn colors from an artist’s palette,
an array of browns from bronze to tawny yeast
As mountain trails call, when monarchs migrate
As the wide blue canvas brightens, nightfall wanes
Steppin' out to engage the dusty trail beast
In the nighttime hours
As the world deftly creeps by
I summon my powers
Spread my wings and fly
Past cotton clouds,
Snow-capped mountains, white
I am lost and I am found
I am beauty and blight
Past the midnight chimes
A soul searching for home
Tangling myself in rhymes
So as to not feel alone
Catch the updraft of hope
Friendship sun on my face
My place in this world in scope
Loathing, with love replace
