- Begging Sunlight -

A yellow song about autumn
Leaves falling slowly
May nature embrace me gently

Birds mixing tunes
Of such ecstatic sound
Rising a sweet melody
Creeds and song carried with the wind
in the highest tempo

Kissing one heart priceless gold
Crossing bridges and mountain majesty of the world
Rustling softly breathless whispers treasure
Most quiet need, by autumn sun and candlelight

Like sweet thoughts in a dream
Dazzling of wonder as magical charms
floating flutters gently on a breeze
Delightful day it is for all who dwell
delicately blown upon warm sunlight rays

The sumptuous yearning of summer that left
Breathtaking feeling dance circles around
Viewing elements and seasons as they change
Deeply touches embracing beauty inside
Into the dawn's early and tender caresses
You stand in front of the sun
morning dewdrops upon your vision

PEASANTS WITH PLEASANT RAGS

You see us everywhere you go
Every corner of your street house our offspring
Every bridge in your city has become our refugee camp
We are the people you call peasant
We are the peasants with pleasant rags

You see us at the entrance of your estates
You see us at the gate of your beautiful companies
In search of what our mouth will feed on next

We are the peasants with pleasant rags

Our gradually fading skin
Now a sweet companion to the midnight moon and afternoon sun
We are the ones without homes
We are the peasants with pleasant rags

When bridges become forbidden by the law
We opt for uncompleted buildings
A few of us get lucky when it rains
And shield themselves under cars

We are the peasants with pleasant rags

We are the ones that beg for the remnant from your table
We are the ones life has just not been fair to
We are the peasants with pleasant rags

We are the ones that get poorer while you get richer
We are the ones that scramble for the leftover at your feast
We are the ones that fight for your used clothes
We are the peasants with pleasant rags

Florida Keys Please

No litter, no rules, no society scent,
Just peninsula pure soul content, ideally lent.
Awed and wowed with arms stretched wide,
I stand on Key’s narrow road on narrow land,
Surrounded by two sea gems and their sand.

This dream road sea-drowns, down south’s horizon
And thrills my innocence without even trying.

Western growth is dense and a fence in Gulf’s yard.
Her wave’s sirens are blue-salt diamonds
And I am mesmerized by their titan climbing.

East unfolds turquoise enchantments unmarred –
The playful, poetic Atlantic off guard,
Bewitching and hypnotic in regard.

Dazzled, I sit in the sea, shoulders deep.
Powder soft ocean floor thrones me nicely.
I could sit the day in this sea so sultry.
Flirty, allusive, emerald joys leap
As languid, luscious wet meets sun’s glee,
Sending my senses high where memories keep.

These expressive ocean blues and greens
Are of patterns and ways, I have never seen.
Sensual and graceful, each sea touch is delight –
As soothing in feel as pleasure in my sight.
Before me spreads endless bounty of ocean glean.
Under Florida-kissed skies, I sit wet and serene.

When the Universe Shines

Silvery silhouettes shine from the moon On this hallowed night amidst urban glow. Moments like this always fading so soon When east meets west and our energies flow. Watching the stars touch the blackness behind, We discover the universe above, As its light penetrates deep in our minds, So do our hearts open up to its love. The mysteries of the heavens we see. The purity of the light from the sky, The universe shines for you and me With peace and quiet love for you and I. In my west starlight shines down on the earth While in your east sunlight starts a rebirth.

A PLACE OF DELIGHT

A PLACE OF DELIGHT

The nature renders its divine allure
with summers warmth and beauty to adore.
Enclosed reflections of the sky so pure
to feel the past, and times of calm restore.
The gentle breeze caresses aspen trees
with trembling rustle of its tender leaves,
the soothing sound of silent sighs appease,
release from tempest thoughts as calmness heaves.
Afar in the distance a cooing dove,
beyond a lake that sparkles with a gleam,
With wagtails and robins flying above
A haven to cherish a scenic dream.

My minds at rest from thoughts of hectic plight
my cabin’s freedom, my place of delight.

Summer Sunshine

SUMMER SUNSHINE - "Sonnetina Rispetto" Thank you Lord for this golden day, This sweet sunshine that smiles my way, This warm wind wafting through the grass, That makes my heart dance in delight; Thank you Lord for this summer light, That bids bulrushes burn as brass; Thank you Lord for this golden day, This sweet sunshine that smiles my way; Thank you Lord for these birds that sing A lovely welcome this morning, This warm wind wafting through the grass, That bids bulrushes burn as brass; Thank you Lord for this golden day, This sweet sunshine that smiles my way. ---------------------------- 14th May, 2016 (posted on 15th May)

Mother Nature

                  Mother Nature..

I see a mountain, wake me up there.
Tired of dreaming, no time to spare.
I will be flying soberly drunk.
I am just living, don’t ask me where.

There will be some light full of delight.
I am tired of darkness and night.
I will be drinking, drinking the dew.
Thanking the sunshine, shining so bright.

I am waiting and waiting to see.
Watching your sunset under a tree,
Seeking for wisdom, seeking your path,
Flying toward you, dancing with glee.

I am so lonely, sky is my friend.
Talking and smiling, so I pretend.
I will be seeing, you in my dreams.
Waiting and hoping how this will end.

Tell me where you are, I am abused.
Lots and lots of pain used and misused.
Tell me what to do, I am so lost.
It is no wonder, I am confused.

GRACE OF SUNSHINE

When June emerges through its gentle rise
The cloak  of sunshine bares an amber tint;
Glimmering on our lush fields, that reprise
A varnish of leaves, hued trees now imprint
Morn's luster as crystal rays spill anew
A dazzle, a blush like folks’ warm embrace
While toddlers hop and prance amidst sweet dew,
That frames of light imbue auroral grace :
How birdsong on boughs chirp in reverence
So effortless like this daybreak’s fresh array,
Till prayers bless a god’s omnipresence
Bestowing life in a heavenly way.

Magnificent the grandeur of dome's beam
Until it rests , hanging low yet agleam.

Summer Snow Angels - Collaboration with Darren White

Spring rain, and I am flat on the lawn:
arms spread, laughing loud.
I create snow angels without snow,
daisies watch with undisguised surprise.

Like the day, I dream in wild red of
strawberries bursting on my tongue;
petal feathers, pure radiance:
sun in sprinklers reflected prismatic rainbow

rain shower painting chromatic arrays
sing the summer colors
painted winter's grey goodbye
fly to the heavens on sunshine rays

Dawn Dances on My Wall

Dawn dances through the window
dressed in skirts of prismatic colors
magnifed by my bottles on the sill.
She spins pirouettes on the wall
as their invited morning guest
always welcomed to the Sunshine Ball

My glass bottles are part of my décor
not a mere whimsy of happenstance
through which Dawn chooses to dance.
I always meant to gather more
but my time is always spent
on life and more important things
the moment I walk out the door

There was a day, not long ago,
when I brought home wild roses
too short stemmed for my crystal vase
But when I placed one in each bottle
it was such a pleasing aesthetic that
it put a cavorting smile on my face

They never really needed a purpose
more than being pleasing to my eye,
but in Dawn's ballet the next morning,
daylight swam through rippling water
accompanied by a Blue Jay's symphony,
I knew how remarkable they'd become to me

One subdued in shades of polished green,
others were jars that once held preserves
but through their bodies of heated sand,
Dawn dances for me when sunlight calls
in graceful steps and arabesque so grand
How elegantly she danced upon my walls

- Someone Behind The Door -

Wish to share the world with you
At least see it for yourself with your own eyes
Soft as brilliant sun, wind or rain
It is safe my friend do not be afraid

Embrace the mystery facing the day light
The rising red sun on a blue background
Close and lock as you need but never throw away the key
One day you’ll see a freshness like colors in a soap bubble

Atmospheric Pressure

Storm clouds gathered in the skies Swirling angrily and anxious For the war Brewing somber colors Not swept away by the mighty wind. Finally, holding off no longer, They exploded in a crash of thunder As lightning lashed out in pain. The tension was relieved While the torrential downpour flowed Like an avalanche of tears, And washed the dusty air. Then, as if by magic, When the last drop of rain was shed, The aurora of sun embraced the sky And kissed it softly with a rainbow To fade the ashen gloom. As my tears dissolve our storm Hug me with your sunshine Of understanding love And let the rainbow of our kiss Paint away the hurt. Sandra M. My Time For Peace

Sand and blue sea sing to my soul.

Up in the sky the sun smiles.

Now is my time for peace.

Boats drift past the beach

As I drift with

Them till the

Hush of

Eve.

Flowering beauty grows amongst thorns

Rose petals blossoming out from the heart softly silk
starbursts brightly sitting a regal flower kissed

By loving sunshine sweet glowing beauty dances
your delicate curling petals so beautiful

Like a butterfly's wings fluttering eyelids mist
engaged upon a glance sweet fragrance whispered dew

Embalmed by the perfume of such treasure found gift
it is here that an arrow of gold strikes home dear
sweet velvet corolla crumples fragile breathless

Into the blue

Into the blue

dark clouds evanesce
as eyes stare into the blue
ecstasy shimmers ....

serene ocean depths
awaiting reconnaissance
undulate their throbs ....

Warmth Of The Sun

Folded between the blankets
of Winter's clouds I found,
The glowing warmth of the sun
peaking effortlessly without sound.

I was thankful for the blessing of it
being so lovingly entered in,
Making the day a wonderful way for
it to begin.

Such colorful rainbow delights lit up
and canvased my dreams,
Leaving me feeling its powerful touch
through its beams.

O p t i m i s t i c Orange

Let the night embrace you with honey dreams,
Where you find your beloved dressed in tangerine,
She promises love and you kiss her marmalade lips,
The trust you longed for, in her titian eyes is seen.

In the saffron valley where good things happen,
She sings to heal all your inner rustic wounds,
She offers you sip, from coral river of happiness,
And you believe her and listen to salmon sounds.

With bright orange sunshine, new day begins,
You hope someday, your orange lady you will find,
Your heart blooms like the young marigold,
Life seems beautiful, amber fears are left behind.
