Premium Member Oh Lord, I Praise October Days

The bogs’ their fruit – the woodlands’ leaf
embrace a ripened red motif,
as cranberries and maples blaze
Oh Lord, I praise October days.

Where starling murmurations dance
a breathless susurration trance,
ballet in blackbird-shape-shift haze
Oh Lord, I praise October days.

And neath the cumulus, the breeze
colludes with stalks in raspy tease,
unfazed we ramble maize-field maze
Oh Lord, I praise October days.

As apple-cider-sunset spills
behind the bluish granite hills,
I’m grateful for my eyes to gaze
Oh Lord, I praise October days.

When rain does bead on pumpkin’s skin
his smiling face still lit within,
I pray myself be filled Your rays
Oh Lord, I praise October days.

In Praise of God

I look to you for love and grace,
Trusting belief in you I place.
Please keep us safe within your sight.
I feel your presence day and night.

I try to follow golden rules.
Your precious words are my jewels.
My life I live within your light.
I feel your presence day and night.

The Ten Commandments are my guide,
To my children I did confide.
They know your truth to my delight,
I feel your presence day and night.

I’ve had my days of fears and woe
But feel protected and I know
The love you share is pure and right.
I feel your presence day and night.

It’s all about the love we share
That helps us to become aware
Of needs of others and their plight.
I feel your presence day and night.

I pray for peace, my worldly goal
That each and ev’ry sacred soul
Will feel the essence of your might,
To feel your presence day and night.

Premium Member His Wings

My Lord shall arise with healing in His wings,
The Sun of Righteousness, of whom my soul sings,

The Lord has His way in the storm and whirlwind,
He walks upon the wings of the whistling wind,

Under His wings shall I trust, He'll cover me,
In His loving arms, I'm as safe as can be,

I shall rest under the shadow of His wings,
My Shelter in the storm, to whom my soul clings,

In the covert of His wings shall I rejoice,
My praise is of Him, to Him I lift my voice.

Premium Member In Praise of Doorsteps

I think of sunsets I have seen
throughout my many years
from doorsteps where in quiet thought
I've laughed and wiped my tears.

The doorstep is a thinking spot
a place to share my day
with loved ones God has given me,
an altar where I pray.

For children it's a special seat
for rest when school work ends,
where snacks and many laughs are shared
with kindred-spirit friends.

For teens it is a meeting place
where games and dates are planned.
The simple structure serves us all,
according to demand.

Great praise is due life's doorsteps,
both intangible and seen,
and all the portals fore and aft
for all they truly mean.

Premium Member A Song of Gratitude, Prayer, and Praise

I’m thankful, Lord, for all that’s good -
My freedom, health and womanhood.
So much I have of gratitude
For warmth and shelter and good food.

Especially I’m grateful for
My family and friends and more. . .
I love thy mountains, plains and seas,
Thy many flowers, plants and trees.

May people understand the worth
Of all you’ve given us on earth.
Please bless the loved ones in my life,
Especially those now facing strife.

I pray that I will not be blind
To those in need; I must be kind.
I pray whatever comes to me,
That I’ll accept it gracefully.

Forgive my faults and silly ways.
To thee, oh Lord, I give all praise.
Praise I sing again and again
to Thee, my dear, sweet dear Lord. Amen.

Praise

Hell belches out more black-hearted ballads
than the accord of heaven that releases
                 only the innocent and wafting
                        lofty dreamings of a population
unversed in the ways of emotion.

They simper and insipidly bow and release
delicate praises to the air as perfume... oh joyful
white roses. Sweetly sing with your monotonous harpischords.

Not we.

We are the fire in the blackest midnight...
the mud that births monsoons of a terrible beauty.
We tremble lest our own fire overtake us, we are the torrents
that pain your face with every gleefull beat.

We are the dreamers of dreams.

We are lovers, burning holes in sheets of purity and
invincible morality... we scream and shiver to our toes...
         oh haunting electricity.

We are intense anger... the fury of emperors untold...
we shatter our enemies into the oblivion they beg for mercy
fists bulging, contorted eyes stinging from the battle.

We are howls of bitter triumph, the sweet partakers of the
lost cause. We are brazen to the thought.

We are the aroma of sadness that arises from the blackest pit,
we are the oppression that snuffs out the candle.
We praise from the very depths of our cavernous abyss
our own masochistic knowledge... the fiery knowledge that burns us
                          as we consume ourselves.

Premium Member Praise of Peace

Sacred silence
Blended with praise
For the Creator, who always will amaze
Quietly hovering, winged splendor
Beautiful like the vibrant hues
Glazed in whispered dreams
Music, art and poetry

Blessed brilliance
Laughing like the stars
Whimsical and mysterious
Magnificent, painted in exciting tints
Melodious aspirations kindled
Beneath prayers for grace
Awakening on the heart of faith

Holy lights, soft sensations
Breathing – dancing
Across the flowers, the shadows
Breathtaking wisdom
Open to the heartfelt belief
That paints the spirit
In intimacy, caressing, kissing
Softly, like a sigh

Butterflies tour
The buds and blossoms
Grazing, amazing
Stunning those who see
These delicate adventurers
Stirring hearts, stirring dreams
Reminding eyes to see…
The journey of beauty and grace
Flickering across the prayer
For an image so amazing, praising

Praise Jesus

Though you slay me yet I will praise you
You gave me this life, a precious, precious gift
I am so unworthy of Your blessings Lord Jesus
Holy Spirit, make me whole, uplift my spirit to praise You
Give me boldness to bless the name of my creator
Forgive my doubts, sins, and weakness
Lord you give to the grass, birds, and the earth creatures
Their needs for the day lord...
Bless my family and those who read this poem
Give me strength for my daily tasks
Hold me close to your chest, I need You!!
Praise Jesus!!

Premium Member My Simple Hymn of Praise

When life's bourne becomes rocky and I suffer dreary days,
To the One above, I'll lift my simple hymn of praise.
For He knows my every need and takes me by the hands;
I place my hope and trust in Him, for He truly understands!

When upon the grandeur of this His earth I gaze,
To Him I lift my humble, simple hymn of praise.
For the splendor of celestial lights in the universe above,
To Him I sing my hymn of praise for His unceasing love!

I sing my hymn of thankful praise to the Immortal One,
Who sacrificed for this mortal His only begotten Son.
His promise of forgiveness when things are looking grim,
Is so reassuring for those who place their trust in Him!

I thank Him for this magnificent land in which I live,
And for family and friends and the love they freely give.
To those who sacrificed for the freedoms I hold so dear,
I lift my hymn of praise to You, dear Lord whom I so revere!

For You Who bestows unmerited graces on me in many ways,
I shall ever sing my thankful hymn of praise.
To the forgiving and compassionate Creator I'll ever raise,
To You, Eternal God, this my hymn of grateful praise!

Premium Member In a Moment

In the moment,
When a glistening
Snowflake falls to the earth
Washing the ground
In joy and wonder,
Peaceful silencing the
Darkness, the heartless

In the moment,
When a starry eyed thought
Lifts its smile, inspiring
The soul to embrace music
In notes of faith, stirring
Awake the breathless
Prayers, gentling grace

In the moment,
When a reluctant kiss
Apologizes for the fears,
The quiet tears,
Lost and lonely, faded
Like fires, sparks to smoking
Embers, ashes of the past

In the moment,
When insecurities thrive
Walking like the shadows
Along the oaks and pines
Imitating strength
Only known to those
Who listen to the feelings
Caressing the memories

In the moment,
When light replaces darkness,
Hope supersedes doubts,
Laughter inspires the child
Inside every heart who knows
There is a God who gives
More love than we can believe
More love than we can hold
More love than we can know

In the moment,
When His love falls down,
Erasing the past, the fears and tears
With promises for the new,
Beginnings that lead to assurance
That His Son has forgiven
The soul who believes in His gift –
The gift of eternal peace
The gift of everlasting life –
With the God who created each moment!

In the moment,
When I believed
I discovered the answer
To my every need
I learned what it means
To love unconditionally
And to know joy that is like
The gentlest peace, overflowing
My doubts and insecurities
Promising to bring me through every grief
With love that can mend every heartbreak within
Love that can silence even the mess that is ME

God pours in His best ingredients
Combining hope, faith and love
With grace, peace and promise
For joy that will forever praise Him

God flows through the one who knows
His love abides in the heart and soul
Piercing the darkness with a tender light
Who whispers in silence, inspiration
Insight that invites the believer to see…
Through His mercy there will forever be
Strength and beauty, forever purity…
In the human spirit, where there is truly
Wonder that can’t be seen, but only felt
By the one who believes in the Savior
Who poured out His spirit inside each of us,
The souls who know that His love is alive
Abiding, like a gentle fire, … burning away
All the doubt and despair, the darkness
That might feel like a cloud hanging down
Over the spirit who knows that, with Him,
There is a promise that forever dances
To the music of belief that never wavers
Conviction that is always honest and trust
In the One who created us to grow
Through the unending devotion that shines
Through every tender mercy, in the spirit
Who knows that His light shines bright inside
Where the human spirit is designed to unite
With the Holy Spirit, the abiding touch
From a Savior who loves so very much
He actually came down and died for us!

Premium Member I Praise You

Lord, I praise You for Your goodness.
I praise You for Your love.
I praise You for the kindness,
That You've shown throughout my life.

I'd be dead if not for You,
Of that My Lord I'm sure.
Though I knew it not You followed me,
My safety to ensure.

Lord, I praise You for Your providence,
And protection through the storm.
I've not always had the best,
But I've always had enough.

Oft You've sent Your angel,
To watch over me;
To follow and protect me,
You always heard my pleas.

Lord, I praise You for the wisdom,
That You saw that I acquired.
I was blind and deaf and dumb,
And You brought me to The Light.

Thank You Lord that now I see,
That now at last I hear.
That at last I've found my voice,
My praise rings loud and clear.

Lord I am unworthy.
I know I am unclean.
I stand ashamed before You,
For the way that I have been;

But Jesus came to rescue me,
He pulled me from the mud.
He gave to me a clean, white gown,
And washed me in His Blood.

Then He held me in His arms,
And told me not to fear,
For He had washed away my sin,
Because He holds me dear.

Even when I knew You not,
Even when I turned away,
You followed me, protected me,
Even though I chose to stray.

I tried to become one with them,
The children of the world.
But they would not accept me,
For on me You'd placed Your Mark.

Lord I want to thank You,
For like the lamb who strayed,
I was in grave danger,
And The Shepherd came and saved.

He saved me from the wolf who stalked,
The serpent's tooth that struck,
He saved me from the slippery slope,
And pulled me from the muck.

Lord I want to praise You.
You are The Mighty God.
You bring life and love and joy,
Wherever You have trod.

No matter where You place Your foot,
A miracle occurs.
To be the lowest member of Your court,
Would be an honor Sir.

Premium Member Whispering, Trembling, Feelings

Listen to the beautiful
Lingering in the tender voices
Mingling with soup, potatoes, chunks
Light joy, garlicky seasonings
Inspiration falling, blending voices
Temptations burning
Away the darkness, the black yearnings

Remember the shadows
Blazing with hues of promises
Erasing the melancholy,
Voices alive with laughter
Smiles knowing the vibrant
Slow dance, a walk through graceful
Truth said…

Together we can tease the
Color from darkness,
Silence the star’s songs with
Wonders beyond our own imaginations,
Feelings breathless and warm,
Forming a memory in the heart,
The soul, conspiring with time to move
From the dark to the light,
Remembering only the breathless
Caress of morning’s sun

Shining on the heart, the smile –

Whispering, trembling, feelings

Bleeding through the dark, glistening
Like the edges of a kindness
Only known to the soul who hears
Hearts instead of voices,
Tears instead of ocean’s spraying
Beautiful in the promises
Made by those who sincerely pray
For humanity, for hope, for grace
For the love in eternal praise

A Psalm of Praise and Worship

If the Lord isn't for me, why do I live?
If the Lord does not bless me, why am I here?
If the Lord isn't for me, why am I here?
If the Lord does not bless me, why do I live?

I know I am a sinner repressed.
I know I am saved through prayer.
On bended knees, I am as a child of God.
As I grew older, I lifted my head up to clouds.
Somehow, my path swayed.

If the Lord does not anoint me, why do I sing?
If I am not blessed via his blood, why do I live?

Nobody knows my troubles better then Lord does.
My life is enshrined because of the omnipotent.
Through a sacred path, I seek the Lord guidance.
Redeemed through his grace, I worship and praise.

If the Lord does not guide me, why do I live?
If the Lord does not supply my needs, why am I here?

I know I am a sinner repressed.
I know I am saved through prayer.
On bended knees, I am as a child.
As I grew older, I hoisted my head up to sky
Somehow, my path swayed but now, my life is saved.

If I am not a crusader for the Lord, why am I here?
If I am not on the battlefield for the Lord, why am I here?

Nobody knows my troubles better then Lord does.
My life is transmogrified because of the omnipotent.
Through a sacred path, I seek the Lord guidance.
Redeemed through his grace, I give the Lord God the highest praise.

To My Redeemer...

If the Lord isn't for me, why do I live?
If the Lord does not bless me, why am I here?
If the Lord isn't for me, why am I here?
If the Lord does not bless me, why do I live?
