Best Inspiration Poems
"Mine all Mine!"
A thief I long to be
Your eyes original like the moon and sea
A lover in the world............
An Anthology, you walk and talk like the word "AMOR."
The words you send, I nicely tuck under my pillow
Every note every line you left behind
I memorized till they became all mine
Word-for-word,
Unauthorized I scrape the concrete calluses off the tongue
Pirating the perfect dramatic monolog look,
Basking through the passage around your Bio,
Lost in the musky scent -around the sonnet of your aura light
Epic enough, I reach inside to feel every idyllic rhyme
A strong iambic meter curse, conjuring up the perfect verse
In you I lift a copy paste from your lips,
No need to credit the sources in your bliss
The sweetest undamaged sensual memorandum book
A moment I stole and sealed without copyright proof
My dearest Poet,
When you move across the room
I see a thousand arrows that follow from behind,
Indulged when you speak and point out a verse per verse
I am a victim pampered by your words,
Sponging every line, adding them to my crib notes
Improved wordplay that infringed my everyday diary
A haiku so tangible, it sets the perfect images in my dream,
Hypnotize after I read your first love poem
A printed feeling--
Borrowed from the sun

An untouched piano has no purpose,
like a lonely clown without a circus.
A boat has no destiny stuck at shore,
silent like a lion who's lost its roar.
Life is fragile like petals in puddles,
drowning from the adversity of struggles.
A perfect time for poetic lyrics.
The right response to silence critics.
Without poetry life lacks true meaning.
A suicide of speech when ink is screaming.
Scholars are wise, but their words lack beauty,
so rise like the sun, it's our moral duty.
Unleash the fountain of your artistic fire.
Poets are born to weave words which inspire!
Be the star that brightens someone’s dark sky,
Be the light that illuminates a gloomy night,
Be the flame of compassion to life gone awry,
Even if you don’t think your candle is bright.
Despair not in a world gripped in jaws of woe
For beyond hills of grief dwells halo of hope,
Be the spring that rises through wintry throe,
Even when struggling in laments hard to cope.
Be the forest that grows through ashes of fire,
Be the dream that assuages angst of nightmare,
Be the angel of goodwill when times are dire,
Even when fate, callously, ignores your prayer.
Be not pain of misery, be not voice of dismay,
From goals of life revered, you must not stray,
Wish not for anyone, horizons shrouded gray,
Even while a storm drenches your sunny day.
Teardrops, bagged eyes, a way of sin
The mirror reveals a lost eternal soul
A conniving move against tonight's phantom glow
Voices circle the insomniac moon
Like magic and beauty, "She's Gone With the Wind."
The idea of love,
broken like yesterday's wishbone.
She is leaving today, her arms, my shelter
Her wings are now immense.
Beauty --- she's gone forever!
Never will she suffer-
Never will she return-
All I have are lost memories,
tracing what is left.
One final deep breath
tequila vice to wash away the pain.....
At Last, Now I See!
Under the drunken stars
I had an epiphany
Stricken like a match
A sunken treasure
At Last, I Knew
You did not belong in there,
you were there for the taking
Frail and sick, no longer sane.
Memories lost, no longer - her
My Mother!
What has become of her?
You're a demon, who played us all
Made us cry, while she slowly withered away
The way you laid waste to her body
Nipping both legs, feeding her through tubes
She rapidly forgot our names' our faces'
I hate you, Alzheimer
I hate the way you took her the first time!
I hate you, Death
I hate the way you claimed her final days!
Sleepless nights and pillowed feathers,
Caress a precious moment around my tender skin
Pretending my mother tucked them in
Anything to help me get past my sleepless nights
a poet, you say? pardon no, not am I
there's only ONE poet - He writes on the
sky
of sunsets and stars, of space without end
with a dazzling bright ink and ethereal pen
of rainbows and sun dogs, anvils and rains
mists from the moors, breeze-tickled plains
of haze-shrouded hills and cloud-crusted
peaks
of sunrise horizons with blush on their
cheeks
of green flash, auroras, of comets and
moons
the fair constellations that rollick and swoon
of bright, stabbing bolts that pierce the
dark skies
and spiraling storms with the sun in their
eyes
you see …
all that He authors is authentic and true
light years beyond what MY words can
construe
but every-so-often, He blesses this fool
and imparts me the mercy to make me His
tool
yes, I'd love to take credit, but I must keep
in sight
I’m a pen out of many, with which He may
write
so I may seem a bard with these verses I've
spun
but regarding TRUE poets, there's really …
just ...
ONE.

The smile on my lips
is forced and coerced
I pretend to pay attention
give the best possible advice
everyone praises me
I'm so kind, polite and nice
It's all just automation
I rarely actually listen
certainly don't care
all I'm doing
is playing human
blending in
fitting in
I'm so perfectly hidden
you'll never even
see a curtain,
from where I stand
Majoring in social events
Put on a pedestal
for computing with you
I'm so perfectly hidden
smiling from time to time
Labeling those
with all sincerity
open mind every day
Passing along appeal
continuing to fit in
blend in
pretend
force program
Is it just me or
am I the perfect human?
The mellifluous musical tones of the village bells
Echoing chimes over the cold snowcapped mountains
Both finding their way to people in the valley below
Christmas songs — let your spirit sing freely and loudly
Welcoming the Birth of Our Savior and Baby King
Who so charms the Angels on High and God Himself
On this night, The Star was so beautiful, clear, and shiny
Crisp and so crystal-bright, centered above and beyond
Reflecting now the Lord God’s most divine and holy light
There is real magic in the night air as Heaven rejoices aloud
The child and the infant’s divine soul breathe life now intently
Fulfilling truly God’s very promise and His hope to Mankind
Keep this Christmas spirit — share it with others near and far
Grace filled with good tidings as we dance on wings of joy
We all now celebrate in great happiness, love, and kindness
Christmas is forever — and you must never ever close this door
Faith always enters, carrying His guiding torch high and proud
And encouraging Man every step of the way on his long journey
Even in a simple cradle where the Baby Jesus so innocently lay
Heaven doth bathe His cradle with the warmest rays of divine light
Bespeaking the heavenly beauty, joy, and wonder of Our Savior
Amazing peace makes a lovely gift, I wish for all of us to have
As new life blossoms, wrapped in petals of an immaculate heart
God’s holy blessing, love, and intention are clear for all to see
That Holy Night the Angels entire sang mirthfully on Christmas Eve
Praising Almighty Lord God in Heaven on the birth of His only son
The Angels’ paeans echoed in their divine beauty across the Universe
To bring peace now, glowing with your love, is His divine intention
Rejoicing in God’s Greatest Gift to Mankind who was born in a manger
Destined to become Our Most Holy and Divine Savior — Amen! Amen!

In swoon ‘neath golden moon and sable sweep
let bathe with hues upon my canvas soak
romance a mingle, brush and pigment sweet,
enrapture me your passion’s hungry stroke
explore an aura, fluid colors blur
imbue the skies of empty eyes a soul,
in deepest purple daubs a midnight stir
as lover weaves a dream to make me whole
caress the edge to fuse desire and shapes
lay a layer one atop the other
a throb of contrast, feelings free to traipse,
smoothing over yearnings with a flutter
starlit glaze and silky graze artistic
awaken chroma crave for drama shades,
mood’s aglow, aroused and optimistic
before the painter’s lusty palette fades.

O N L Y E V E R W I T H Y O U
Only ever with you, I love to have and hold
into the circle of your arms, I'll unfold;
into your blue eyes' greeting shine, my gold;
only ever with you, I yearn to grow old...
Only ever with you I can write rhymes as such
for you bring my muse from dust to dash, to hush
Only ever with you my being wants to attach
as first step already taken to our primrose path
Only ever with you, tips dance linger to cherry lips
Slow summer hands will roam vast to wonderland
Whence pearl white peel smooches chocolate skin
only ever with you, heartbeats climbs a boiling point
Stars and moon may leave the dark skies
yet, one look at the gleam of your blue eyes
day and night, I see the rising sunrise.
Only ever with you, I will dive to lows or heights
for only ever with you, I'll plunge to infinity.
Prayers plea asking blessings from Divinity
to tie two hearts and two souls in sole unity.
Mindless to whatever is there in humanity
Only ever with you...

POEM OF THE DAY -- February 27, 2015

Entering the doorway through my heart
Following the nuance of space
Allowing expansion ~ mystery ~ and curiosity
To guide me into realms of spiritual awakening
Journeying through moments in time
Filled with opportunities
To appreciate and cherish
To express gratitude
To be connected to the forces
Of nature and humanity
Together we take flight
Guided by white hawks
Silently lifting off
Into darkened skies
Kissed by gray hues
Alighting on silken clouds
Transporting us higher
A deep inhale as gentle breezes
Tickle my earlobes and caress my soul
My heart is open ~ expanding ~ gaining insight
Exposed
My tears flow freely
I allow the pain and suffering to become me
As I focus on illumination and helping others
With embracing arms and heart alive
Calling out to our elders and animal spirits
To join in our collective dance
The soft wind carries us
We float and fly and glide
Entering the realm of light
Sunbeams vibrating at the edges of perception
A fuzzy twinkling as our eyes excite
Riding magic cloud carpets
Above ocean’s breast
Gazing down
The beauty becomes us
Gold light rays skate on undulating waves
Illuminating tide’s glimmering foam
A waltz of light and sound
Briny majesty
Luminous shafts dance and sway
In a lovers embrace
Across veridian waves
Passionately singing out
Becoming one
Our voices ~ melodies
Songs of our ancestors
Ballads from distant shores
Past and present
Reveal themselves in
Tender haunting notes
Arriving on mist’s fingertips
Hoovering close to Mother Ocean’s surface
We hear her heartbeat
Lap lap lap ... bubbles ... breath
Surface foam breaking
She appears in nature’s coat of shiny black
A regal humpback
A tranquil Goddess welcoming us
We ride upon this graceful giant
As she whispers her secrets
Feeling her slow movement
Through watery depths
Turning gently ~ moving up and down
We welcome her strength as
Turquoise tides caress us
Guided by celestial navigation .... we ride
Gazing up at the sparkling stars
We listen to the collective heartbeat of eternity
One breath
One exhale
Together

Chopin Nocturnes
Listen....autumn rain is gently falling
Within enchanted hour of twilight sky.
In my heart, Chopin is softly calling
Lovely piano notes that make me cry.
As Luna slowly rises in the east
Her soft lambent glow lightly veiled in shrouds,
Taming the spirit of both man and beast
By roaming mesmerizing misty clouds.
My spirit soars within this peaceful scene
Enthralled by every note of Chopin's tune.
Beguiled in nature's calm, I feel serene
As stars appear and mingle with the moon.
This music and enchanted night reveal
New hope my mourning heart will one day heal.

Poem of the Day January 14, 2021
In a world where hearts ignore compassionate cries.
Acts of kindness become rare, so empathy dies.
As human nature loses the skill to listen,
his mission is to help every smile to glisten.
He needs no theme song to introduce his name,
nor has a desire to reach Hollywood fame.
No x-ray vision nor bionic power,
he can't read minds nor move the Eiffel tower.
His tongue is an olive branch forming peaceful words,
most beautiful soul whose heart can conquer swords.
When sorrow calls and heartache leaves the mind in knots,
his sincere voice will calm those tormented thoughts.
The tenderness of his fingertips will soothe dark scars,
as the heart heals, it will illuminate like stars.
He sees no difference between a dove or pigeon,
his humble heart spreads love like a religion.
He is not the sandman, but he can help bring dreams,
he has no halo, but his love flows like streams.
His life is like a cherry blossom bud full of grace,
a butterfly who doesn't belong in this place.
In his quest he sacrifices his own pain,
aware his emotions are like sandcastles in rain.
He knows death awaits, but his empathy bleeds,
continuing to inspire, ignoring his own needs.

Example for HERO contest
Running beauty rippled in crystal white
No whisper in the air, just a wondrous sight
My eyes ascend in awe to a far light
Small and empty observing such a height
Nature in colours captured in delight
Ready to be filled with bliss and insight
Melt in silence, a faint soul to excite
Drifted with music, poem to recite
My thoughts wrapped into words and put aside
My fancies are now poised set for a flight
A heart into throbbing beauty subsides
The summit I can reach and meet my fright
Exultant to feel not gems but a mine
Yearning to have peace seeds sown deep inside
Sweet lyrics bring my very soul to life
Soft music tunes me to mountain nine.
Learn from the eagle how to soar with winds
Spanning your wings to conquer tall peaks
Float hopes high reaching sapphire blue skies
Triumph with your smile as the world goes by
When beset in clutches of troublesome plight
Know that a new dawn always follows night
My child, when it’s your turn, do what’s right
Even a bright sunny day must cede to twilight
If you want things easy, they won't be worth it
Learn to swing ably if you wish to score a hit
When the climb gets hard you must never quit
Things that you regret, you may never repeat
Glint someone’s clouds, be the rainbow on arc
Be the emissary of light for the adrift in dark
Edify your doldrums, be always on your mark
Lift somebody’s dawn, be the sweet song of lark
Walk along humility when tempted by pride
Learn from those saintly, living lives dignified
Hold your balance or you’ll tumble and fall
Let the mountains teach you how to stand tall
When something goes wrong, do not justify
What’s spurious and superficial, do not glorify
How well you do, rests on how hard you try
When you hear the call of duty, never ask why
Let happy thoughts reign your state of mind
When emotions overwhelm, always choose kind
Spread the wealth of love to help mankind
Be the precious gemstone that is hard to find
Glint someone’s clouds, be the rainbow on arc
Be the emissary of light for the adrift in dark
Edify your doldrums, be always on your mark
Lift somebody’s dawn, be the sweet song of lark

O April
how I’ve longed for your return
to breathe new life
into this gnarled body..
for these roots to be unfettered
from the grasping earthen frost -
the past season of fanged nor’easters gnashed
me bare - leaving me mauled and dulled
alone with stiffened limbs
lifted to face
the hard glower of old man winter
with not a morsel of mercy to be gained
but April
now that you're here to share
the innocence of the daisy
and the honeyed scent of the sweet pea
I feel inspirited like a sapling young and tender again;
mild is the fog’s embrace in early morn
as I taste your sweetened rainwater
and gentle is the rhythm of baptizing
showers bathing dark days away..
and ever grateful is my grayed heart
as it begins to beat
with the fresh pulse of verdant rebirth
oh April
how easily you inspire
my shy imagination to fly
with the zephyr's muse
to expand my artistry
in an afternoon’s brushstroke of forsythia light
dreams once frozen now thawed and golden
eager to flourish in bloom
awakening the poetry
in a new leaf’s unfurling whisper -
a whisper that grows a praising wind-psalm
as choirs of bursting buds
celebrate revival
with a rustling alleluia!
star-shaped sails rouse in swishing sounds
their leafy lyrical breath one with the breeze
my green-laden boughs now a wellspring
of exuberant born-again voices
a thronging rejoice lifted
to the heavens on the whisk of the westerlies;
supple is my sweep and sway ‘neath
the soft-bellied skies of Spring
dear lady, April
how I revel in the glorious abundance of your Nature;
your nurture enlivens my humble woody being
and though gray may shade my weather-beaten heart..
evergreen is my soul
