STRAWBERRY

Can you feel the warmness of the sun,
reflecting off the red tones of my hair.
The sun touching the edge of my toes!
My seasons true nature ignited by a layer of flares.

Can you feel the stars shine for me at night?
While the moon beams a color of envy.
Can you see me lost underneath the crimson tide in the clouds.
Some where out there my eyes wonder for you.

Can you feel the fresh bruise in my strawberry heart?
As it bleeds every day just for you!
Wondering if life can ever be sweet like sugar and glue.
Crying under the night and its skies is how it would seem.
Lost in a midnight red field in a forever dream.

Can you feel the texture of my wounds?
They feel rugged like rocky mountain sour berries.
Covered in daiquiri as I drown under the rivers current.
Attracting canaries to enjoy my wild strawberries.

Can you feel the wings of my broken dreams?
Here I am falling off the cliff and the feeling of love.
Abandoned like a batch of strawberries for its flaws.

Do you see me standing with a sad look.
Can I show you all them hammer hits I took.
That will be the end of story, to my book.
How my strawberries have beauty that you over looked.

Premium Member Beneath the Strawberry Moon

Hoisting passions fervid, probing celestial height,
Hypnotized we stood, enthralled in smile of June,
Caressing dreams flirtatious of a romantic night,
Reaffirming love, beneath the strawberry moon.

Pulsing beats heavenly, fantasies esoteric chased,
Thrilling realm of love, resonating deep in your heart,
Content in your embrace, as memories intimate traced,
Echoes of promises eternal, forever vows impart.

Seeing you rejoiced, snuggled in my loving arms,
Nary a cloud dared to encumber cerulean skies,
As you navigated sight through opaline sea of stars
Tantalizing flame of passion, sparkling doting eyes,

Having been wooed by mystical glimpse of Luna,
Proffering blush of aura, tantalizing romance,
Bedecking tints orange upon luminous rosy awe
Seducing stance-entranced of enamored glance,

Gazing with throbbing hearts, where desires croon,
Hypnotized we stood, enthralled in smile of June,
Humming melodies, in sync with the celestial tune,
Reaffirming love, beneath the strawberry moon.

Luscious strawberries drip from your lip
Sweetly covered in chocolate dip

It is time for a late lunch break
Our dessert will be the love we make

Premium Member For Jobs Contest: Strawberry Fields Forever - - Not

There aren’t too many jobs that kids can do
when they are in their pre-teen years, but we
knew of a place to work where berries grew.
To pick them was a job of misery.

In June, my siblings and I went each day;
into a field with hats and pails we’d go!
On hands and knees, through dirt we’d crawl our way
while picking berries up and down each row.

I still recall the rock ‘n roll we played -
our only pleasure as we all perspired
in Iowa’s damp heat, away from shade.
When we were through at last, we felt so tired.

No smaller pay have I since ever got.
But how I loved the treats that money bought!

The meadow is full of Strawberries

                                     Large juicy delicious strawberries

Take a straw and thread them on

                                       They smell like warm summer

Pick as many as you want

                                        Cute lipstick of strawberries

                                         I love your beautiful smile

                                         When you get back home

                                          Sprinkle a little sugar on

Dish held my sugar cone
Ice cream of plump strawberries they were not alone
Sunny afternoon this was sweet when I was young
Hushed my talking tongue.

The Strawberry Moon

This moon rises up ever slowly among the clouds,
As it begins its ritual journey of peeking slyly out,
Appearing for all to see in that far-distant horizon.

This wondrous eidetic image is a Strawberry Moon
That’s so softly-red with a magical touch of orange,
And so very rare to see—yet so special to gaze upon.

As this enchanted moon continues its skyward ascent,
It begins to kiss the Earth goodbye whilst following its
Heavenly path in the sky to be amongst the radiant stars.

This glorious moon now follows its celestial path into
The Dark Beyond as its strawberry tint passes away,
And its ancient, brilliant-bright-luminescence returns.

Oh, Strawberry Moon—our pride of the month of June,
Shall you tell us more when you come back to us, of what
We shall see in The Dark Beyond, in the Sky of Nowhere?

And perhaps we can expect in your next journey to us,
Another special kiss by you—a welcome kiss telling us
That a reunion awaits us all on the eternal path of light!

"Strawberry Kisses"

coquettish Smart near misses

flirtatious crispness
in the velvet time sliding

softly persuasive
dead dropping

hungry ghosting gumshoes hubristic
dangling dripping words delicious

on tongue twisters
birdwatching the blowback

poiesis ripe
for swallows and ravens

chasing bell ringing
black buried au courant bluebirds out

better than late
Merry Christmas

freshly plucked

smiles

Strawberry Kiss

The tip of her nose
studded with blackheads like seeds
on a strawberry,

she stared back at me;
I could feel her move closer.
She asked, should we kiss?

Panting, I just gazed.
Her breasts touched my own. I closed
my eyes and breathed no.

Strawberry Love

I am looking blindly into the fridge
Searching and savouring the chilled air, I reach in
Take hold of a strawberry and hand it to you.
Its body, fresh and pure can relax in your palm.
You are the keeper of my heart.

Its many eyes, black seeds that rest around
The waist, sleep in cycles, stare out into the darkness.
It remains on your flesh, Merges like a collage with the twists and bends.
As time passes, its chill dwindles. Harsh heat invades the creases.
Its natural form bleeds away in a sticky juice.

The Craving Scoops of Cream- Based On Strawberry Ice Cream

Fresh and flavourful organic strawberries
Ground with the berries of our hearts,
Do blend with majestic creams
To celebrate this sweat-pouring afternoon
With a nice dish which feasts tongues.

This dessert is both life-giving and life-threatening;
She strengthens our heartbeats
While touching our taste buds;
And kills our precious lives
When she reaches only our eyeballs.

She is the landlady across seas and lands
For the children of sweet minds and tides;
Everytime I curate an icy day,
I believe in the right culinary recipes of her way
To carefully craft each scoop with her gorgeous grace.

Strawberry Fields Forever

I have used words and phrases from the Beatles song
‘Strawberry Fields Forever’ in order to create the
Desired effect in this poem.

How beautiful it must be,
Let me take you down,
Just you and me,
For no one else is
In my tree!
Misunderstanding is easy
If you live with eyes closed,
You see,
Nothing is then real,
Why become someone
Who is trying hard to feel,
It doesn’t matter
Much to me.
Why get upset if nothing is real,
Why get hung about it,
I know when it’s a dream,
Nothing is real,
For me does seem,
That it’s all wrong,
But I think…no ... yes,
My thoughts are strong,
As I think I disagree
I want to be free,
So I’m going to Strawberry Fields,
But as nothing is real,
I don’t want to yield,
And become a buffer zone,
A human shield!
Strawberry fields Forever was
Inspired by The Salvation Army
Children’s Home,
Where young ones were safe,
And protected and did not
Have to roam,
This song was recorded in
Nineteen sixty seven,
Fans thought Strawberry
Fields Forever, was just heaven!
If we look through the
Lens of LSD as did the Beatles,
Sure that John Lennon later,
Turned to needles,
This ‘avant tout’ group thought,
No-one was up their tree,
“Are we a group that is genius,
Or are we crazy or seamless?
We merely see differently to others,
To the world’s sisters and brothers.”
The Beatles were so cutting edge,
For their time,
Mass hysteria from young girls,
And some boys,
Parents and grandparents
Were wary of the influence
Of these young men,
With no poise,
Who made a lot of noise!
This Beatles song was considered
As one of the
Greatest pop songs,
Ever recorded
Throngs,
Of people ever present
When ever the Beatles were
So much as just mentioned!
