Maniac President's Song

(A parody of the Modern Major-General's Song from "The Pirates of Penzance" by Gilbert and Sullivan.)

I am the very model of a very stable genius.
Compared to mine all others’ ...brains... are positively weeny; yes,
My grasp of science, history, and law is astronomical.
No need to read; I go by feel! (It’s highly economical.)
My sober tweets would make a truly fine encyclopedia
For fighting lies of traitors in the damn elitist media.
It’s sad how badly haters hate and treat me like a meanie; yes,
And all because I am, in fact, a very stable genius.

I see the world in black and white; hooray for monochromacy!
It shows the unnecessity of nuance and diplomacy.
No matter what I do, my fans consider me adorable;
Their loyalty to how I roll is not the least deplorable.
A win like mine (I surely could have had a clear majority!)
By common wisdom should confer a little more authority.
In short, I envy autocrats like Kim and Mussolini; yes,
I am the very model of a very stable genius.

Fanatics in Talibama
stadiums of bigoted extravaganza
hopefully supporters one day held to account
for abusing children in the name
of evangelical doctrine

He assassinates foreign officials
as terrorists like to do
he supplies Saudi Arapia
so they can kill more children than you
he loves his small fingers and his walls

He runs his concentration camps
he stops the needy from eating food stamps
socialism is all so very bad
unless is to help the richly glad
or paying hookers for the peeing mad hatter

Many cronies gone to jail
he will sell out his family
never mind sell-out the USA and democracy
he's Putin's batch and that's a fact
for years washing money for those Russian rats

He downed a plane for his re election
he said Obama would do the same
however Obama it seems was not insane
Trump committed crimes against humanity
time for him to face the wall

Of justice

Premium Member Pompous Pied Piper

Like the pompous pied piper leading the way,
chirping his tune of a dawning new day,
frustrations were championed, oh how we followed,
the ego stuffed shirt of a suit cold and hollow.

From the top of the hill, he showed us the view,
convincing our eyes it was harshly askew.
Nearing the cliffs as if caught in a spell,
he fed us like lambs from his poisonous well.

Touting sweet taste of his truth well embittered,
ignoring the signs of nonsensical twitter,
rot with the smell of the nations decay,
we drank from his cup of a water so gray.

Watching and waiting for gifts of his gruel,
the masses assured we were not made a fool,
his promise of greatness was all we could see,
with great expectations of how it would be.

There's no turning back once we swore the man in,
believing bright futures were soon to begin,
blinding frustration gave evil its day
for the pompous pied piper to lead us astray.

He led us to thinking, all driven by fear,
then gave his directives so cryptically clear,
stripping the values by which we would stand
before the American dream had been banned.

Addicted to all the attention and glory,
swiftly he moved to remain the top story,
insisting on walls made of concrete and steel
built by the anger and hate we should feel.

Then some were shaken, disrupting his spell
and found he was stealing our Liberty Bell.
The fog began lifting and soon we would see
the piper exposed as the fraud he would be.

Time has a way, proven over again,
                   of playing its imminent part.
The shedding of light upon every mans soul,
                exposing his darkness of heart.

No longer seduced by the piping we hear,
choosing to see through the veil,
Democracy once again fights to survive,
let us all pray we prevail!

Trump and the Beaver - For Jan

Out in the woods Trump took a nap
Under an oak dripping of sap
pants to his knees
what a big sleaze
Fresh beaver still caught in his trap

The Trump Virus

So You think the Toupee is Smart
An Orange little Toddler
Who Thought it was cool
To Hate People Who were Different
And Tweets without manners or rules

Where did He come from?
Who chose this crazy fool
Am I the only one that sees
Right is right and wrong is Trump

It is about time to wake up
Smell the Cesspool that has come
Time is short for those with a Heart
Being Inhumane is an evil crime

Think before You Support
Your Commander of the Camps
If You wish to live free
My advice is not to go grabbing a woman's front tushy

Humpty Trumpty

Humpty Trumpty sat on a WALL.
Humpty Trumpty had a great fall.
And all of his lawyers and billionaire friends
Couldn't put Trumpty together again!

No to progress
Yes to Pence
No to openness
Yes to the camps
No to socialism
Yes to the lemmings
No to healthcare
Yes to healthcare
Very confusing
However
You have the worst healthcare
That's not confusing

Someone wrote his speech
Pay attention
They do not write his tweets
Llies upon lies

Poison ivy infects the land
Everyone is scratching their heads
Some though hide in the sand
Heads buried in hatred's depth

Comrades
Wake up!

Author's Note: Recite the following using the rhythm and melody of "Home, home on the range where the deer and the antelope play." The first verse can be used as the refrain:

His income tax structure is strange
Donald will the needy shortchange
The overly rich
Claim their life is a b-i-t-c-h
For them he’ll find bucks on the range

A clear planet earth never smokes
But Trump’s cohorts grim are the Kochs
Where fossils remain
They'll tear into the plain
Fracking rigs are their dirty jokes

There's fat upon Miss USA
The Donald says queen you shall pay!
"For my regal job"
She did painfully sob
"Is rehab a roll in the hay?"

Like buffalo once were so vast
Our middle class was unsurpassed
Now they are the prey
While republicans play
And deny the climate forecast

Wishing You a Donald Trump

Name your next ten children Trump
May all your twins be Donald's
I wish you a Merry Christmas too
With Happy Birthday visions of him
With surfer dude hair very wavy and thin
Almost life like and pretty pink
And may all your New Years be funky
Full of Trump and truck loads of money
Of guns and great walls of China
Made in Taiwan without tariffs

Make Trump your smiley face
I wish you good luck and fortune cookies
May all your corner stores grow large
With products all labeled Trump

Stop being who you are
Make America great again
Let all flags wave with hair
He has plenty left to spare
And spare parts if interested

Make peace on Earth
Make hallucinations linger
Make every moment count
Never give him the finger

God bless us everyone
Especially if your name is Trump
May all nations be united as one
I wish I was Trump
Don't you wish everyone was?

Still Standing Strong For Donald Trump

`

Yes, I support the president
I guess that makes me bad
Deplorable, an idiot
And many think I’m mad

When I look back and realize
The freedoms I had lost
I’d vote for him again, again
Because I know the cost

There’s some on here who spin their tales
And many who believe
Not even from the U.S.A
It’s so hard to conceive

Maybe it’s just jealousy
Because we have it good
And if they took the time to look
They’d change, I know they would

At least we don’t pay enemies
(They tried to hide the plan)
Billions in a wooden crate
It's hard to understand

Those cages holding little kids
It makes your smile wilt
Until you all just realize
There one’s Obama built

Yes, we killed a terrorist
We hit him from the sky
Just like B. Obama did
Bin Laden had to die

And now with this impeachment sham
So many loudly cheer
But we will have the final laugh
Election time next year

You see the others scream so loud
With violence and hate
If you do not agree with them
Then you they will negate

So we just keep our voices down
But keep our heads held high
Still standing strong for Donald Trump
While others sit and cry

For it is such a crying shame
This hatred Dems now send
Instead of working hard to make
Our country great again

I worked real hard for what I have
I paid for my own school
Never looked for something free
Does that make me a fool

No one owes me anything
My hand is never out
Except a safer place to live
That’s what it’s all about

So that is it, this piece is done
Just two things left to say
I cast my vote for Donald Trump
And the good old U.S.A.

This will probably reduce my readership on here more than it already is or get me kicked off, but I am entitled to my opinion just like everyone else is.

To be immune from aspersions mean and vile
May assuage our hurt feelings for awhile
But to really uphold the Golden Rule
We must also withhold words harsh and cruel—by poet

In an upside-down world
Where self-victimization
is a realization and hatred lingers, it goes nowhere
May not yet get it, and still not self-aware
Now some may think that healing is
Ignoring what is destroying and go on enjoining
others near them to do the same, their end game
Using, medicating with words as ammunition stored on a shelf
Toxicity is there, taken aback, down deep in yourself
Hatred lingers, collecting dust mites
Imploding, suffocating smites and is on reserve
In a mindset where glory they deserve
Personal gut-wrenching bile packaged
Collecting more dust, disgust has an impact
It only makes you a stronger hellcat
One that hasn’t let go of the baggage
Is in an upside-down world of their own
On their own and may think they’re OK
Flies in the ointment, stagnant, a delay, decay
In a world where “making it better” ails, and means
Undoing what has taken lives in time in details
Only bequests, and is deeded
A new form of healing is much needed
Healing is embracing the newest challenges
There are bigger issues, bigger things
Then just you, heed the warnings
It begins within

The Donald supporters were pissed
But Dorian Gray they have kissed!
Measured in fathoms
Their brains’ empty chasms
All hail the chief narcissist

Author's Note: Sunshine Smile's recent post, "Showtime," inspired me to write this. Her poem really speaks to me.

"The Picture of Dorian Gray" is a philosophical novel by Oscar Wilde, first published complete in the July 1890 issue of Lippincott's Monthly Magazine as described in Wikipedia. I urge those who are unfamiliar with the story to check out the plot.

I do understand people's anger. It's unfortunate the rest of us didn't do more to retrain and help the folks between the coasts--like the former coal miners. I really liked Bernie Sanders. Hillary was more a representation of the status quo. I think she lost the election when she called Donald supporters, "deplorables." She didn't get it.

"Make America Great Again," is doublespeak for, "Take advantage of the downtrodden and poor." We all share the same planet and its resources. There will be blowback from what we are doing in this country. No wall or immigration ban will keep us safe from ourselves and what we represent. We have not yet embraced sustainability, and I sincerely doubt the richest cabinet in history will have an intent to help miners. Mine owners are the ones they want to help. Stay tuned world. It is "showtime."

Premium Member I'M Never Wrong - a Country Tune For Donald Trump

Well I got some big hair
Sittin' on my big head
Got a big wife
Sleepin' in my big bed -
Got a big reason
For singin' this song -
It's great to be me,
'Cause I'm never wrong.

Gonna build a big wall
To keep them Mexicans out;
Gonna make 'em all pay
"Cause that's what I'm about
Gonna build it high,
Gonna build it long -
It's a good idea,
'Cause I'm never wrong.

You might think I'd care
When the facts don't match-
You might think I'd feel
There was some kinda catch -
But whatever you say,
Whatever you do;
If I say that it's so,
It just has to be true.

     I'm never wrong,
     I'm never wrong
     I'm never wrong
     I punish the weak
     Because I worship the strong
     And that's okay,
     'Cause I'm never wrong.

So I got my own plane
To fly over my crowd;
They like me brash,
They like me loud.
They all wanna believe
I'm gonna make 'em great
Though really I think
They're all second-rate.

So I tell 'em the things
I know they wanna hear;
I been tellin' these tales
Since this time last year.
No need for the truth
Or humility -
Just so long as they hate
That gal Hilary.

You might think that I'd blanch
When they call me out,
Or even admit
To a moment of doubt -
But that just wouldn't be me,
Because it wouldn't seem strong;
It might suggest
That I could be wrong.

     I'm never wrong
     I'm never wrong
     I'm never wrong
     Gonna have to face Hilary
     Before very long -
     Then we'll all see
     If I'm ever wrong.

     Then we'll all see
     If I'm ever wrong.
