Best Romantic Love Poems

Premium Member If This Was My Last Poem

Come to me my beloved,
save me from life's brutalities,
so this heart can soften -
sparkle like a million fireflies.

For you hold the light
to illuminate my soul.
For you are the ceremony
and I the dance.
As you come near,
I'll spin like a mad man,
dancing in the rain.

If to touch you is a sin,
then I am a sinner,
yearning to sin till my last breath.

If to hold you, means to lose everything,
then I will live as a penniless man,
rich within the luxuries of your affection.

If to love you is a crime,
then I am a criminal,
lock me away and dispose of the key,
chain me within the chambers of your heart.

If this is my last poem,
then let these words become spirits,
sleeping within the sacred sanctuary
of your supernal soul.

WHEN OUR WORLDS COLLIDE

Verse 1
I would love to be your comfort
A blanket when you're confused
A bright song on every dark day
Warmth and hope you cannot lose

To be the canopy to cover you
When life’s storms come your way
I can be the one you’ve longed for
'Cause I hear the words you don't say

Pre-Chorus
Let the past slip through your fingers
Those old ghosts fade from sight
Take my hand and feel the difference
You're walking into light

Chorus
When our worlds collide, love paints the sky with quiet fire
With colors only born from deep desire
You're safe in my arms, girl, don’t be shy
This is what it means when the night reshapes its light
And your heart finally whispers, “You’re mine”

Verse 2
Your eyes could light the skies tonight
That coy smile, wow... it melts my heart
My guitar plays you sweet love songs
This is our time when true love starts

Bridge
Drift away, lay your fears down
On this shoulder made for you
In the hush, hear my vow, my truth—
Every dream you dream, I’ll pursue

Chorus
When our worlds collide, love paints the sky with quiet fire
With colors only born from deep desire
You're safe in my arms, girl, don’t be shy
This is what it means when the night reshapes its light
And your heart finally whispers, “You’re mine”

Outro
Being with you, I’m filled with wonder
A kiss goodnight, no need to hide
In the morning, I’ll be your first sight
This is how it feels...
When our worlds collide

Premium Member To Touch the Untouched

She is soothing music,
but an unwritten script.

A silent movie,
but visually, cinematic elegance.

Infatuated lyrics thirst to
compose onto tones of her curves.

Her tongue is a sensual dance,
a serenade of sensitive sensations.

Her lips a path to pristine passion,
her eyes a gateway to heaven.

But she is grandeur of purity,
a distinction of innocence.

Fate must learn patience,
in the pursuit of desire.

Premium Member In Pursuit of a Promise

A promise should never remain silent.

In pursuit of our principal pledge -
I ponder her secret garden,
within the province of our paradise.

For her love is
an Utopian secret supernova,
shining celestially -
through a canopy of olive leaves.

Where I hope to stand motionless,
lost in her redolent radiance

so my soul searches

for the path of plum slate and
golden stepping stones, leading to her
idyllic untouched flower garden.

Admiring evocative vibrant petals,
wishing to float like a million butterflies,
breathing blissful blessings -
upon balmy bewitching blossoms

I shall surround myself in her artistry,
enchanted with her ethereal tranquility.

Love remains secure within her elusive oyster.
My ink will emulate a million subtle reflections,
until reunited with my precious opulent pearl.

It seems you only appear whilst I am asleep,
teasing rapid eye movement to awake and weep.
You hide, so I wonder how beautiful you must be,
fulfil my desires and give me the chance to see.
I believe you have beauty, eyes have never seen,
which allures me to places I have never been.
Maybe you were sculpted by Michelangelo's hands,
DaVinci drew you a smile only he understands,
Rembrandt's hand trembled at the sight of your grandeur,
maybe you are the one, Raphael's angels adore.
Your image mirrors Cleopatra's unique class,
which fades at daylight, regrets begin to amass.

I do not know your name, Silent remains the tongue,
yet I fondly believe in my heart you belong.

Premium Member Shakespeare Could Have Cast You

You had me oblivious to your antics,
as you hushed me tenderly by the creek
into your hide and seekable
soul-surrendering secret relief.
There, you cottled me into softness
with a simple chin caress,
which continued to smooth
the entire twisting course
of my delicate remorse.
My garments shifted
from their skin,
slipped into the witnessing wind.
You convinced me to sin
so remarkably, so recklessly,
for one worshipped glide
of feigned intimacy.
I bemoan my mixed senses
behind the curtain of uncertainty.
Oh, Romeo, if only I'd known you.
If only I knew that
your prestigious people-pleasing smile
was practice for the play.
That those granny pleasing manners
and Band-Aid banter
would soothe my soul to sleep.
That those jovial jokes
and caramel coated coaxing
would lead me quietly to the creek
where your meaty man hands would span
each inch of my innocence and beyond.
That your chivalrous, chiseled chest
and incandescent camper's scent
would be compressed
against my gentleness.
By this indulgence
I had relinquished your respect
and you had tossed my trust.
So dissolved the blending of lust,
and with it the end of us.
Your camouflaged fibs
of forever love
would continue deep
through the space in my ribs,
into the closing scene.
Romeo, so applause-worthy were you
on your secret stage that
Shakespeare could have cast you
just as you had cast me.

Our Rainbow of Love

My love, do you ever know...

In your moments of hushed silence,
I am your sound;

You are the rhythm
of the symphonic waves
in the vast sea
of my romantic verses;

Jasmine blooms, fresh, I am
and you, the thread,
together stringed, we become
fragrant garlands
that adorn and purify
our sacred sanctuary of love;

When you form the visible arc,
I become the invisible arc
of our vibrant rainbow of love;

My love, don't you know...

You hold the key to my
Paradise of Love-
there, in a spot, so beautiful,
I sit sprinkling my romantic ink,
my heart beating fast
as I await your arrival,
when thrush nightingales
sing ballads of love
and a soft zephyr
tickles and whispers into my ears
that you are on your way
to meet me.

Come, my love, without further delay
forget all the petty tiffs we had and
unlock the door to my paradise.
Hold me in your arms, so that
our eyes would meet
with gazes deep:
domes of black and white
will then become verses of love

As I would read
my own muses, so deep
in your eloquent eyes,
and you, in mine,
so magical and dreamy that moment be
when the wheel of time
would stop for some time

For us...

Just for us...

Premium Member In Her Reflection I Am Poetry

Mind will always dream,
eyes will endlessly gaze,
lips will remain impatient.

Although, I've not met her,
the heart is a battleground
of anguish and angst.
Its cries, seeking the serenity
of her secret sanctuary.

Hope ascends to tranquil heavens.
Twilight's baptism, blends
merigold into fading blue horizons
with sparkling amethysts hues.

Oh my beautiful beloved,
come to me with your comforting arms,
like soothing stars, shepherding
the nebulous night sky.

Destiny can deceive,
sometimes a friend, sometimes a foe,
but, we search for the blessings,
through each trial and tribulation.

For, she is the silence,
between heart beats -
who's name rests upon
tense tips of the tongue.

In the discrepancy of distance,
love's appetite lingers in lament -
yearning for our lips to merge.

Yet the night is an unfinished symphony.
Idyllic lyrics craving to pour,
upon an incomplete song sheet.

Without her,
Silent One's muse is mute.

I am not a poet,
But in her reflection -
I am poetry.

Premium Member Romantic Rendezvous

you're so far away...

tantalizing temptation was always your forte
teasing me, drawing me in
making me yearn for your passionate kiss
desperate to be lured
into your amorous arms
by those luscious lavender lips
and the sweet scent of your sultry sensuality

alas, my love...

this cruel chasm created by your passing
has left me melancholic
how I remember our romantic rendezvous
and savor the memories of our marital mergings
bodies entwined in erotic embrace
reaching heights of euphoric ecstasy
that left us spent and satisfied, time and again

tell me where I can find you...

sun and moon are distant lovers, languishing
in an uncaring universe determined
to keep them from consummating their vows
even still, every eighteen months or so
they meet at the appointed time
a galactic eclipse where two become one
the cosmos cries out in joyous refrain

wait for me, my beloved...

and tho' sun and moon may fade away into
an eternal ether of nothingness
my love for you, dear one, shall never wither and die
for ours is a lasting love, destined to deliver
this bereaved soul from the bane of loneliness
and loss on that great day when our two hearts
reunite in rapturous, rhythmic rhapsody -
forever

a day for a year, a day for a year...

Starbright

As I gaze into indigo skies,
Stars are brighter tonight,
Twinkling in the darkness
Of a new moon.
Orion's belt enchants
My impassioned heart
As my thoughts of you soar
In a dimension devoid
Of Time's constraints.
Let me feel the warmth of your
Strong arms wrapped 'round me
As we breathe in the scent
Of night blooming jasmine.
You are my summer nights—
In my dreams of us
On cool cotton sheets
While Bach serenades us in
Rainbows of ribbons~
In a symphony of sounds~
Your skin glistens,
And I am lost in love.

Comme j'ai regarder dans le ciel indigo,
Les étoiles sont plus lumineux, ce soir,
Scintillant dans l'obscurité
D'une nouvelle lune.
Ceinture d'Orion enchante
Mon coeur passionné
Comme mes pensées de vous atteindre
Dans une dimension dépourvue
Des contraintes de temps.
Je voudrais sentir la chaleur de votre
Bras forts enveloppés "autour de moi
Que nous respirons le parfum
Fleur Jasmin de nuit.
Vous êtes mes nuits d'été--
Dans mes rêves de nous
Sur des draps en coton cool
Bien que Bach sérénades nous dans un
Arc en ciel de rubans ~
Dans une symphonie de sons ~
Votre peau scintille,
Et je suis perdu dans l'amour.

Can it be, into this world we are dropped
from heavenly streams that have never stopped?

With sweet hope gifted to our souls delight,
oceans of love and its fiery desires;
ladies so fair, we thank our keen eyesight
and leap into romance hottest fires.

Can it be, wonderment is our reward
given for living in a world so hard?

With love's soulmate waiting a heart to touch,
deepest seas of hot sexual pleasures;
daring to embrace and love very much
this bountiful store, of life's great treasures.

Can it be, that in life's short duration
we go beyond mere infatuation?

With deeper dreams that bless spirits in need,
grant romantic nights of sweetest relief;
birth greatest pleasures of harvested seeds
fruited in soul's spiritual beliefs.

Your questions asked with pulsing energy
of lovers’ wonderland of synergy..

Gifts do flow from fountain to foundations
of souls inspiring minds to understand;
seductive passion’s yearning flirtations
of red embers roused to lusty flames fanned.

In awe you long to know love’s mysteries,
untangling threads in tender reveries..

Of all the gold offered in sun’s rich rays
Sol would be poor in the worth of our love;
for never could there be more wealth of praise
than for ambrosial taste from gods above.

During this life as our lustrous hearts’ beat
we can transcend mundane with love’s white heat..

Our physical plane of mortal being
is heightened with intimate unity;
body and soul in tantra foreseeing
weaving love’s strands into eternity.

Premium Member Adrift In the Midst of Gladness and Sadness

Walking upon silent parched paths,
under speechless scarlet skies.
Your name sits upon the tip of my tongue,
listening to the susurration of my heart.
Each vibration echoes tones of lament,
conflicted by the principles of time.

Adrift in the midst of gladness and sadness,
in a plot without a twist, lost in blackness and slackness,
through turbulent trials, I yearn for you to return.

Distance remains an unknown intangible pain,
but visions of your timid cute brown eyes remain.
How your mouthwatering scent seduced senses.
How your luscious lips dissolved all walled defences.
Now I yearn for queen of my heart to re-appear,
to sleep in each others arms, into the new year.

Adrift in the midst of gladness and sadness,
in a plot without a twist, lost in blackness and slackness,
through turbulent trials, I yearn for you to return.

Without you the mind is misplaced in marshlands,
where intimacy is lost to complex riddles called life.
Under cold ebony skies, your memories flicker like candlelight,
you are the flame, which insulates my heart with devotional delight.

Wanted to experiment with a mix free verse and rhyme.
After contemplating calling it a free verse or rhyme, I settled for lyric.
Maybe an idea for a contest.

Premium Member I Know of Great Love

I Know of Great Love

I know of great love...
the kind of passion that
surpasses ecstasy into
a world of oblivious bliss
soaring among the clouds
in the ethers of heaven
with a newness that
never grows old or faint.

I savor these golden
treasures within my heart,
within my mind that is
filled with memories of
past and present as I look
forward to our future
moments, suspending us
in love's rapturous arms.

No love song could express
the joy you have given me,
nor the Valentines of
intimacy written by poets
with profound adoration.

Your voice is my love song,
your tender touch, my bliss,
your warmth, my security in
feeling, I know of great love.
You are now and will forever
be my beloved Valentine!

Premium Member Between the Whispers and the Sighs

Between the whispers and the sighs

The sweet taste of champagne,
still lingers on her lips
The fragrance of jasmine oil,
slides from her fingertips

I know that I'm ready for,
whatever she has in mind
There's a warmth taking over me,
that's moving deep inside

A mystic instigation,
of skin against skin
In breathless anticipation,
for loving to begin

Outside is the darkness,
of a cold winters night
Inside there's a passion,
burning by firelight

Chorus
Between the whispers and the sighs
I can read between the lines,
I'm following your signs,
Between the whispers and the sighs
I sense our love is right on track,
and there's no going back

Outside snow is falling,
no leaves left on the trees
but inside there's a heat that
brings me to my knees

Trapped inside the vertigo,
as lovers rise and fall
Isn't dizzy desire the answer,
whenever romance calls?

Chorus
Between the whispers and the sighs
I can read between the lines,
I'm following your signs,
Between the whispers and the sighs
I sense our love is right on track,
and there's no going back

There's a solemn silence,
no whispering of words
After love's expression,
only heartbeats are heard

I've never ever, felt this way,
for anyone else before
I hear eternity calling us,
as we open up love's door

Chorus
Between the whispers and the sighs
I can read between the lines,
I'm following your signs,
Between the whispers and the sighs
I sense our love is right on track,
and there's no going back

The sweet taste of champagne...
still...
lingers...
on...
her...
lips.
