Best Brother And Sister Poems
*** Awaiting Inspiration ***
(written for my brother and sister poets)
Reaching for dreams in the black of my closed eyes, but sleepless,
I go on in music, out past radiant lights —
Bright and brighter — spreading beams that hold back off every
Fright plotted by the cornered, infernal shadows threatening
To overwhelm as they amass over meadows bordering
The forested wilds’ protection of those — hidden therein.
Those, who, in their God-graced innocence, their divinely destined lives,
From infant cries to elder wise; and who will survive
Keeping in the depth of their beings a spirit of truth with
A visible valiance — seen upon a look deep into their eyes;
While —- in this place — in this secrecy thick with trees — I alone
Am ready with pen in hand...to be their mirror…
For I am a documentarian of the hopes held
In humanity’s array of feeling hearts:
Whose stories I note
In the bounce of continuous city din; in tales recounted by farm folk
Walking between their grain-growing rows; and told in chanted
Prayers rising for the ill, the poor, the despairing…needed and answered.
Thus, holding visions and voices, I persistently proceed with my work,
First, with a necessary pulling at these pliant walls
Of the creative cocoon — its soft, loose weave deceptively
Can seem easily penetrable. Possibly God will respond to these
Cries for his collaboration. Meanwhile, alone, awaiting inspiration, I stay
With crayons in hand, watching the approach of a very rare snowfall in May.

Blood relatives, we are not
By laws or marriage we are didn't knot
Nor characters in theater or movie plot
Yet he and I care, We both allot
He is from middle east
I am from the southeast
God is good cause he let us meet
Bad or good times, no quits
He gives me this sentimental necklace
Which I always wear and trace
Symbol of my so called talent
Refreshed and flowered in vent
I miss him so much
I wish he knows this such
I wish a hug that clutch
We bond with no match
I called him my brother
He calls me his little sister
Different faith, different race
Yet, all dear we are square

Dedicated to: my long time brother.. Not by blood.. Not by law but by heart...
Don't keep on judging
You make me sick
Break your brother's spirit
Your hatred is a mockery
A world is surrounded by darkness
It will always drip blood from a new wound
Although it pains ... you can never win
We share ink and love ... not deadly poison
You've fallen deep ... very deep
A shame

A brother’s love for his sister;
a brother's love ALWAYS protects you... a sister's love ALWAYS follows you
Must be in placed always;
It’s never tarnished, never blisters;
A brother must along with father;
ALWAYS…
Protect His,
Sister.
For God has loan her to him ( to you)
It’s a spiritual duty,
Cause sisters must keep;
Until she’s grown-up,
And a man sweeps her off her feet;
And always, always never let the sun go down;
Without saying I am SORRY;
Siblings together, spirit blood ties;
Loaned from God for a little while,
ALWAYS, ALWAYS.
Along with Father God, Mom and Or Dad...
Admonish, Protect and Love;
In sickness and fever blisters,
never ever dissed her,
she’s God daughter she-glisters,
Holy angels kissed her,
never shall you missed her,
Assist her, consider her feelings, never dismissed her,
Enlister,
Don't resist her,
be clear to her don’t be a tongue twister,
Do not hate her
Embrace her
never unsister,
Love ALWAYS YOUR SISTER
Siblings together, spirit blood ties
Loaned from God for a little brief while
ALWAYS, ALWAYS,
Along with Father God, Mom and Or Dad
Admonish, Protect and Love;
Until Jesus or her husband comes…
You her brother are 5th in line to protect her
For God has said she is your part
Both you and her share a heart
Never dislike nor hate your sibling
Always protect and love your sister
Don't resist her,
Do not hate her
ALWAYS Embrace her
never unsister,
Love ALWAYS, ALWAYS LOVE YOUR SISTER

Brother and sister love
Its a bird
Its a plane
No it looks like Sa-vannah
Flying in the air with duck tales
Who hoo
Saying come on mommy
Let's fly higher
So diontay can't catch us
Diontay says I am tired off you
I am going to the navy
To get away from my sister
She cries no no
I don't want you to go
I won't have no one to torment
And diontay says
That's the point
Cries don't stop running until
She joins the navy too
Now we are forever close
One love

Oh flesh of many colors,
brothers all are we,
placing the Holy Spirit
above us on our knees.
No matter what we’re labeled
by those who sell a grace,
when names and slogans start to fly,
be calm and hold your place.
A yearning, kindly human heart
is only satisfied
through service to our Father,
not willful selfish pride.
Attitudes need adjustment
for loving, patient deeds:
objective understanding
not subjective, deceiving creed.
Oh flesh of many colors,
sisters all are we.
Beyond the ego, church, and flag,
the truth becomes a plea.
On a sunny yet cool September morn...
A beautiful baby girl was born...
She weighed in at a perfect number nine...
And the best part was she was now a Sister of mine...
Life thereafter was awesome for me...
Cause life was filled with love you see..
We both learned from each other...
Cause,,we were now Sister and Brother...
The years have passed and we’re now in our teens...
We are both on the same page..or so it seems...
You have high aspirations in Life , as do I...
So I wrote this poem to verify...
As your Brother I do certify...
We both will ,. in LIFE... succeed...
Using this Philosophy...
LITTLE SISTER
Little sister,
When shall I see you again?
When shall the vegetables in
The compound stop waving their hands to say goodbye to you?
When shall tears in my eyes dry of pains?
I have heard of Odenigbo wide laugh,
Yes, let him laugh at me, the gods made it to be so.
I have seen the stream roared in my presence,
Let them roar and cause, I won't be shaken.
Arusi iyi made it to be so and nothing I could do,
I have journeyed down to the hills and mountains
Of Ugoloma in search of you but I found nothing.
Am I the Only One that will cry heard of you?
Am I the only one that’s blind by love that bind sister and brother together?
The circles that go through my mind is kept for,
The truth that’s never found awaits your return,
The pain that starts again blindfolded what I used to be.
Am I the only one that fails to realise that life is but a mere journey of pains and sufferness which has no value?
Am the one that will see love and not grab it then I feels so dead inside And You suffered the nails of the bloody enemy whose face is hidden?
I want see you and hold your hands little sister,
I want to tell the story of Uma to the Ohafians!
When are you coming home, little sister?
The vegetable in the compound are waiting for your return, ogbonneya.
A mother and father that we share
Doesn't mean you had to care
Being blood is what I thought mattered
But losing mom and dad made our family shatter
Now sister I havent talked to you in years
And brother when I came to you with tears
You turned and blamed my heartbreak on me
You wasn't near so there's no way for you to see
With a list of whys you to put the blame on me
All we share now is DNA and a small hope we'll talk again some day
A day sooner than later beside a grave
Saying things we wanted to say
With tears in our eyes
We will be forced to say a final goodbye
I hate the N word and the B word
Black people screaming it out, their mind must be blurred
We are the rightful kings and queens the chosen ones
Stop killing each other put down your guns
Our bloodline is rich with melanin roots
Rep Black and white like a pair of converse boots
Rich in culture, Pharaohs, royalty and Inventors
Strong like a Lion, rise up my people you shall enter
Teach the youths about their history
Seen as where the winners, we will claim our victory
Look after the prince’s and princess
Trod forward, not backwards like the back of an index
Love yourself my brother and sister, Love yourself
United by blood, divided by hate.
Our forefathers fought for our independence,
Yet we are tearing ourselves apart,
For what reason?
Selfish leaders inciting hate amongst us,
The tears of a dead man will hunt you,
The conversation of our ancestors will guide you,
What's painful?
Losing to an opponent whose not an enemy?
Or losing children, mothers and fathers?
The youth , who are the leaders of tomorrow?
An old man whose blind has the sight for hope,
Yet the younger generation are lead to ruins,
May God be with us, for He is for us,
Don't let religion divide us,
United by blood, divided by hate,
What would your choice be?
Congratulations! You’re going to be a big brother!
This is a special day!
Your Mommy and Daddy just found out…
your baby sister’s on her way.
We know whoever she is…
whatever name your parents pick
she’ll be bringing along with her
your fist lessons in arithmetic.
With a beautiful face we’re sure you’ll soon come to adore…
she’ll teach you simple addition…how 3 + 1 makes 4.
She’ll teach you about subtraction…
you will make the perfect pair…
and you’ll learn how much you miss her…
those times when she’s not there.
She’ll teach you how to share
how to divide things into equal parts.
You’ll learn how sharing is a gift
that comes from somewhere in your heart.
You’ll wonder where all the love you’re feeling for her comes from..
If it was hiding deep inside?
And how, once she arrived, the love within your family…
so quickly multiplied.
All this and more she will teach you..
and one day it’ll be your turn…
to teach her these same lessons…
when she is old enough to learn.

When submitting a poem I’m really cock a hoop
Have a cyber brother I did meet on line
Think he's quite amazing his poetry's divine
He said one day we were separated at birth
His comment amused me and filled me with mirth
Soon was confirmed we certainly were twins
Both write silly poetry and both have hairy chins
Cyber sister Jan started my big old heart a-ticking
Since entering my life it's sure been a-clicking
Wake up each morning can't wait for sister Jan
Even check my inbox before going to the can
She never disappoints though we're an ocean apart
Start's my motor racing, got a hold of my heart
Haven't figured out why I deserve such a friend
Separated at birth we'll be friends to the end
Noticed on some comments people call him ‘Kenny’
He’d love to sing with Dolly – guess he’s one of many
Jack and Dolly’s greatest hits I see it in my mind
But Cathie said no, guess she’s being real kind
From Jack’s picture, think he’s more like a Santa
We get on great as bro and sis with much silly banter
I’m so very fortunate to find my cyber brother
If I had to choose one couldn’t wish for another
It's a well known fact, Brits lack a sense of humour
Sister Jan sure puts a kibosh on that silly rumour
She makes me cackle and wet my pantaloons
Sometimes I snort like a silly old buffoon
At my ripe old age of fifty-eight plus twenty
Things don't work well, I have heartburn a plenty
But the heartburn I have is caused by my love
My dear sister Jan gives my heart a big shove

My cute little brother,
Full of pristine purity,
Glows amidst people other,
Full of divine sanctity.
Stuffed with pure love,
Filled with intimate innocence,
Like an angel from above,
He spreads his milky essence.
Cute little fingers
On the sweetest smile
That's constant and lingers
Wash away guile.
Lo! There does he crawl!
Oh! There he tries to stand!
Stand and fall! Stand and fall!
Give him a helping hand.
Oh! Look at his eyes!
So pure and so sheen;
The cute comrade touches the skies
With his heart pristine.
