Premium Member A Tribute To Leonora G

~ Yolanda was--her name ~ Featuring:) Leonora Galinta

From a hell storm,
A mighty she-devil took on its form
Like a woman scorn ascending from the sea
Haiyan whipped across the central Philippines,
A deadly typhoon, maximum winds of around 315
Terrorizing the fragile mind before making landfall
Hitting with the center eye off from her hostility
A merciless turbulence that came and changed everything

Like a Massive Storm
She comes in as the wise thief of the day and night,
In her notorious gust of rage roars in disguise of thunder,
With the company of her own knight of darkness,
Raze all in a blast of waves wherever her path crosses,
Ruining one of the cities down to a devastation in the land
“Pearl of the Orient Seas.”

A mighty tempest in a woman’s name…. Yet,
A disgrace with more than an immortal man in strength,
Nature devouring nature itself
Including her stewards and stewardesses
An unmerciful encroachment, robbing, killing adults and children.

Yolanda, so cruel in her evil walloping!
A guest left smiling,
Engraving echoes of tears, from every single mourn
Vain, wicked, and colorless -no other air’s compare
The lives she stole, one heart at a time
Pouring down the most nauseating rain,
The pain is dissenting with everyone-- everywhere.
The bully of wind, invading sands of serenity

Unknowingly, far beyond your back----------------------------
Everybody will be summoning up more than your strength-

Attitude can be nurtured and changed
By you in spite of what has happened in your day
Confident people master it quickly
Despite what they are enduring
Enthusiasm is a side benefit that
Fosters team work positivity and friendship
Give yourself a break if you
Have had a bad day. We all have them.
Inspiring videos, loving people and supportive friends
Jokes, funny TV shows, and hobbies might help.
Kindness to friends is wonderful, but
Loving them is not as important as loving yourself.
Many do not give themselves this important gift.
Naturally you want the best for others and your family
Outrageous as this might sound, you must
Positively become your OWN best friend first.
Quiet yourself and give yourself this all-important gift.
Rusty as you might be, find your strengths.
See yourself in the best light. Encourage yourself.
Treat yourself with the same empathy you
Utilize with others, a good friend, or a cherished neighbor
Vigorously appreciate your talents and gifts.
Wisest of the wise recognize the
‘Xceptional logic of doing this and often.
You will immediately reap the awards.
Zesty excited attitudes encourage others, please encourage you!

MY CLOUD by JOHN G. LAWLESS

I don’t remember asking…..
yet I am still hearing a babbling brook
of mindless chatter rolling pebbles
through my ears and across my mind.
Noisome, acridly scented, sounds,
a Charlie Brown like… wah–wah-wah
droning in the background of my life.
“You can’t say that!” “It might offend
somebody – somewhere – someday.”
“How can you even think that way??!!!”
“Don’t you care how other people feel?”
“Do you have any feelings at all for them?”
“You can’t do THAT!” “WHAT WILL
PEOPLE THINK!” “ Didn’t you see that sign?”
“Why can’t you just follow instructions, do
what you’re told, believe that we are right,
that WE know what is best for you?”
“If you ate less there would be more food
to feed the hungry.”(Yeah but then I’d be hungry.)
“If you drove less there would be more fuel
for others to burn and fewer emissions.”
(How the hell does that work???)
“If you would only follow all the shoulds
and musts then you’d know the reasons
why you should entrust the future of the
planet, the diet of your kids, to those of
us entitled to pry off freedom’s lids.”
“Every voice is equal when every voice
is heard.” (That could be said of cows
and sheep and noise within the herd.)
“What is it that you want?”, they ask
in obvious disdain and shudder when
I mention my First Amendment claim.
I wish that those who speak their minds
would allow me to do the same without
their constant reprimand “that I should
be ashamed”. When I speak, and write, and
act in a manner that I choose, I shouldn’t
be belittled by the puppets of the fools.
I do not need the politics of food, sex,
and lies, nor special interest groups that
see only through “their” eyes. I cannot
be an island, so I choose to be a cloud -
sit above the melee of “their” ever
spreading shroud. Therefore, the
conversations may be ended by
a verse, a substantial update
from the “islands” brutal curse
as I, in karaoke style, sing a
sixties refrain aloud:

HEY! HEY! YOU! YOU!
GET OFFA MY CLOUD!!**

G Is For Grouchy

Grouchy is a grubby feeling,
with the nasty taste of blah;
makes you out of sorts with living,
the opposite of hurrah.

You don’t like anything
you used to really love;
instead of giving kisses
you would rather pinch or shove.

You are bored to tears;
your toys - worn out and old;
you sit before your breakfast
until the eggs are cold.

No one can please you,
not even mom or dad;
and if you are not careful,
you’re in your room for being bad!

Some people say, “You got up
on the wrong side of the bed;”
maybe you should get back in,
crawl out the other side instead.

What makes you feel so out of sorts?
You think you just might cry
and mommy says she’s sure you ate
a slice of gritty grumble pie.

We all have days that go kerplunk;
we do some things we shouldn’t do,
but it will soon get better;
pull your feet out of grouch goo.

Just put a smile on that sweet face
and tell the grump to go away;
the sun is up and life is good,
get busy, go outside and play!

Premium Member Adoption - G and G Contest

For many many years her dream was denied
Every month she prayed, every month she cried

Hospital investigations she painstakingly endured
Sadly she was infertile and this couldn’t be cured

She spoke to her husband about adoption
It gave them hope – it was a possible option

Application forms completed, then test after test
Would they be accepted – they hoped for the best

With guts and determination they continued their dream
Would their chance of parenthood ever be seen?

Then they got a phone call, a baby had been found
Abandoned by its mother and left on waste ground

When she finally held the baby for the first time
The smile on her face was simply divine

No longer childless, with her adoption they did gain
Finally parents with a daughter named Charmaine

Premium Member True Love

The sky looks blue and alluring
The lovers look tired but enduring
Clinging to love which has waned and disappearing
As memories of yesterday kept on interfering

Love looked so real and true
Filled every night with warmth untrue
Made them believe in peaceful bliss
Which did not go beyond the deceitful kiss

Human love so weak and ephemeral
Comes with intensity so ethereal
But crumbles as fast under a weak foundation
Cause it has a beginning and an end

God's love is ever enduring
Neither beginning nor ending
Love so pure and caring
Demonstrated on the cross in a manner so glaring.

K E E P I N G U P W I T H T H E Dow Joneses

KEEPING UP WITH THE DOW JONESES

These here are the indisputable facts
I was born on the right side of the tracks
WITH People who only smiled if their stocks or equity increased
If not they wouldn’t have minded becoming deceased

They had big cars, big bucks and big time class
With a million dollar house mortgaged up the a*s
Their children went to private schools in uniforms
With charming and well decorated dorms

I looked at their faces and wondered why I didn’t fit
That’s when the fire in my belly was originally lit
I had no desire to play with kids from private schools
Nor did I ever agree to obey by their rules

So one day I skipped over steel and these here are the facts
The people I found lived in tents, not even shanties or shacks
But they didn’t have to read Dow Jones in order to smile
And couldn’t care less about having Gucci type style

They smiled at things people ignore like little tykes at play
And somehow or other they AWOKE contented day after day
They had no stocks to watch fretfully fall or RESOUNDINGLY rise
And you could see the easiness in their gleaming eyes

That which I observed in them appealed to me a great deal
The wrong side people taught me how satisfied I could feel
They lived out of back-packs, antique cedar chests and sacks
So if you come a’looking for me I’ll be on the wrong side of the tracks

Premium Member Bare Souls

It is so lonely under the starry sky.
Our soul shells washed away with the speed of life.
Emotion bones faded.
With an empty eye of own skeletons,
they count the stars on the cosmic vault,
seeking for the meaning of the life show.
*
Surrounded by a multitude - alone.
In disbelief, I count so many treacherous.
They have hungry eyes and empty souls crawling in the mud.
They bow to the screens,
from which a river of fog flows,
covering their weak minds.
*
I know you exist, and you are far away.
I can feel your breath on my face.
I'm free to tell you all my thoughts, fears, and desires.
I reveal to you all of my secrets.
There is no fear - just pure joy of being naked in front of you.
You rejoice to my naked soul as you take your veils off.
There are all colors - it's beautiful.
*
Finally - on a sand pond - by the sea.
We are naked by all means.
Bare souls and naked bodies - you come to give me a hug.
Fairy light and wet - we merge into one being.

Each day remember not, forgive my sin
                     My Lord,within

In worship as I praise
to You my hands I raise;
and know you as You are,
close up,not from afar

Each day remember not, forgive my sin
                     My Lord,within

Help me to stop and wait
for guidance,to relate
when on my knees ,I pray
hear better,what You say

Each day remember not, forgive my sin
                     My Lord,within

Father Christ rose from the dead
Glorious and immortal
On Easter Sunday
The 3rd day after His death
Father Christ ascended
Body and Soul
Into heaven on Ascension day
40 days after His Resurrection
We say that Father Christ sits at the right hand of Eternal God
The Eternal Father Almighty
We mean that our Divine Lord as Eternal God is equal to the Eternal Father
And that as man He has the highest place in Heaven
Next to Eternal God
When we say that Father Christ “sits at the right hand of Eternal God
We do not mean that He is in Heaven doing nothing
From Heaven Father Christ rule over all men
He is our King
We celebrate the feast of Father Christ the King on the last Sunday of October
When we say that Father Christ will come from from that place to judge the living
And the dead
We mean that on the last day
Our Divine Lord will come to judge everyone who has ever lived in this world
The last Day for which the Church is waiting and praying
It will be a glorious day for all who love Father Christ
Our Divine Lord will destroy all the enemies of His sheep
And lead His loved ones with Him to His Eternal Father in Heaven

I waited as tears
wallowed, how so can it be e'er
so, e'er different
tears are the depth of you
it empties from
the void
the absence
of them
I need them
in to my life
there the abyss
the hollow
the echoing
they are so vivid
I live for them
I miss them
it's less than
four minutes till
the year twenty-twenty four
who knew
Brothers first
but Dad between Brothers
a Sister
then Mom
then Sisters
one minute
less than
and less
fireworks outside
more and more
I turned

Aloha
my family ...
12:01 a.m.
Hilo, Hawaii
cemetery uphill
they can hear it too
they see me
just plain
simple
no drama
I'm smiling
I smile
for my son
I smile
for them
