Premium Member I Think of You - After the Fall - 5

I could have cried like a bride at a funeral
Bled out, dry. I could have but I was already
dehydrated...I

i think of you

I wish someone could turn the
moon back on, turn the dimmer back up
on the stars. I can't stand these dark
black nights void of even one tiny ray
of light. I am tired of walking blind through
the evenings of my everyday life...I

i think of you

Yesterday I dreamt the night sky exploded.
Bright white pinholes of light appeared .
It was as if an invisible hand was holding a huge
Fourth of July sparkler against a waterfall of black gold.
I watched the oil well blaze. The whole Earth was on fire.
The world was burning hot. Without fear I walked through
the flames warm, comforted as if I was being held in his light...I

i think of you

Still in the grip of my sleep suddenly an ocean appears.
its water rises and shapes itself like the head of a dragon.
Its neck is shaped like a Chinese silk fan. At the same time
it is just a huge wave. The kind surfers expect to find in heaven.
There is nothing threatening about this apparition.
Quite the opposite like the fire it feels as if it is a part of me...I

i think of you

Do I miss you?
Miss you? I died with you!
There's a knock at my door but I'm not here.
Life's going to have to wait. I'm in hiding.
I feel safe inside my walls. In reality my bedroom light
is all the outdoors I need. It is my Sun. I hate here without you.
So I lie in my bed motionless starring into my nothingness and I...

i think of you

(Frozen!)

As time passes...introspective...I begin to understand.
The earth, the air, the fire, the water all the elementals are him.

(I begin to thaw!)

He is with me even in my ignorance he has never left me.
You can take the lord into your heart without a word by accepting his light.

(Slightly cold!)

A deeper, purer understanding. A trust that rejects the dark no
matter how black. I am a part of all, a part of one as you are. A part of me.

(Warm!)

I open my curtains...watch the dark exit
hurried as love rushes in. Firmly in his hold...I

I think of you...

Once again with you.
Fully! We...the power of one...I

I think of us.

The Beginning!

F-5 Tornado

The warm temperature drops outdoors,
And first drops of fresh rain sprinkle.
The thunder claps right above me,
         As lightening is striking afar.
Dust is blowing in the wind,
         Trees are bending fiercely,
            A train horn blares,
              As the core nears me.
              Then sudden silence,
             A calm reappears.
              Electrical fires start,
               For a moment one
            Thinks it’s over,
             Then it starts
              Again quickly.
                 Passing by my
                Home taking
                 My neighbors,
                  Tin flying by,
                   The tornado
                      Fades, look
                         At all the
                            Damage.
                                 And I
                                     Am
                                       Uns
                                              c
                                                  a
                                                       t
                                                            h
                                                        e
                                                           d.

My poem is about Tornadic weather and evokes
Water in, 'first drops of fresh rain sprinkle'
Wind in, 'Trees are bending fiercely'
Earth in 'Dust is blowing in the wind'
Metal in 'Tin flying by'
Fire in, 'Electrical fires start'

Feeling in 'The warm temperature drops outdoors'
Smell in 'First drops of fresh rain sprinkle'
Taste in 'Dust is blowing in the wind'
Sight in, Lightening is striking afar'
Hearing in 'A train horn blares'

Falling from cloud 10 (a self rejection collaboration)

King Mandalay!

Poet Destroyer, I want to tell you this
My heart is not ready to sing
I will always seal my love to you with a final kiss
So you can always feel you were once my everything

I am sorry I was too much for you on your lonely night
My ego is too strong for you to be with someone like me
Sorry, my heart beat will set you on cloud five away from the light
It's not you my love I need more dots to see

PD, It is not easy to feel overzealous
I became paranoid with this system that glistens
A friendship I destroyed by the thought that made me jealous
P.D., I don't think we could ever be friends I never did listens

My ways ruined the perfect expression of a perfect emotion
Once again what could have been a nurtured affection I ended
You will never again see the moon to my ocean
I will leave you now on cloud 5 hoping you don't feel offended

Poet Destroyer

King Mandalay, you’re my love and will always be my desire
With an endless world of possibilities you will forever own my heart
My heart for you will always burn with an eternal fire
I place my hand on my broken heart to another lonely street

Never will my heart beat feel complete
You were such a gift I did not want to live without
Without you I will go back to my cloud 5 the abyss of delete
I gave you my heart to the fullest, now why so much doubt?

King Mandalay, you spin my head round and round
Like a kaleidoscope ever color will crash above
You dropped my heart from cloud 10 right into the ground
Our friendship connected our fate into a promise of broken love

The gravity between me and you was really true in my heart
My lost emotions will break my unity to survive
You are the devil who ripped out my best body part
My energy will dive back into cloud 5 where life in no longer alive

Premium Member Hush of Gold Asters--Visual 5

While a lattice of gold asters sheds its dangled petals,
I cringe against the intrusion from rainfall's unforgiving wind.
Through night's hush, moist blooms graze my arms scenting my quietude.

Plastic Playground

The plastic playground sits on land,

Land now defaced of nature’s scheme.

Scheme offers colored shapes pristine—

Pristine like board games played inside.

Swallowing soil's nutrients, they swell up under earth -

round or tubular vegetables of edible wholesome delight!

Carrots, beets and onions steadily fuel the body,

but yams, potatoes and parsnips - baked and buttered -

are the ones I ROOT the loudest for!
