My Painting of "The Lighthouse"

  I was asked a few times by a few people why I didn't add my painting as an illustration to my poem, "The Lighthouse".  Well, I finally added it to the poem but if you've seen it and wondered what that white streak is in my nightsky all I have to say is: "No, it is not a comet that suddenly made a right turn toward the lighthouse."  Nope.  Here's the answer.  It is a drop of white paint that dripped onto the painting when my son's highly intelligent (not!) ex-girlfriend decided to repaint the ceiling in his house WITH my painting still on the wall!!! Yep. PLOP went the drop!  Okay, there it is. And, yes, I plan on touching up the painting even though the more I look at it, the more I think like it.  LOL  What do you think?  Should I paint it out or leave it in/on?

Wow, your painting just blew me away Carole. That is such a beautiful depiction of the night sea, I love the moon and the glow that is present around the light house. The drip, hey it happens and to me it is kind of cool. But it is your painting and whatever you choose is what will be. Still...awesome!!!!

The painting is awesome, Carole:) I feel you should touch it up, the white streak somehow interferes your wonderful vision, I would say!

It will depend with your how you feel content. Whether you want it in it's pristine state, or marvel the new artistic make, though unintentionally, lol.

Opinions will vary, but if it were mine, I'd restore it to my original vision. It's a very nice lighthouse painting.
