Waiting

WAITING Life is full of noise: Girls laughing, Boys teasing, Music playing, Drums drumming, Dogs barking, Grandmas humming, People talking, and the TV blares but no one cares. And I wait quietly by the door. Maybe she'll come home like she did before. Birds singing, Bees buzzing, Neighbors yelling, Church bells ringing, Train whistles blowing, Dancers tapping, The clock ticking, ticking, ticking, and the TV blares but no one cares. And I wait quietly by the door. Maybe she'll come back once more. Copyright: March 18, 2017 "All rights reserved"

Hi Darlene! I'm so glad you liked this poem. I know my little dog must wonder if I'm ever coming back. I hate leaving her but "whataya gonna do"? And, I'm wondering if your Maggie is a dog or a cat....

I love this Carole. I have two dogs and I often wonder if they think when I leave in the morning, is he ever coming back. They are always watching out of the glass front door when I come home, both then running to the back door waiting for me to enter. Really nicely done.

Thanks, Chris. Yes, my new little dog cries and barks almost the whole time I'm gone. I'm just so worried now because some of the neighbors in the apartments are complaining and I can't afford to move. I just love her though and she loves me so much. I don't know what I'd do if I had to give her up. If you have any suggestions on how to train her in this regard please email me. Thanks. Carole Duet
