End of the line-contest

End of the line

Original lyrics by Traveling Wilbury's

Well it's alright, riding around in the breeze
Well it's alright, if you live the life you please
Well it's alright, doing the best you can
Well it's alright, as long as you lend a hand

Verse 1
You can sit around and wait for the phone to ring
Waiting for someone to tell you everything
Sit around and wonder what tomorrow will bring
Maybe a diamond ring

Well it's alright, even if they say you're wrong
Well it's alright, sometimes you gotta be strong
Well it's alright, as long as you've got somewhere to lay
Well it's alright, everyday is judgement day

Verse 2
Maybe somewhere down the road a ways
You'll think of me and wonder where I am these days
Maybe somewhere down the road when somebody plays
Purple haze

Well it's alright, even when push comes to shove
Well it's alright, if you've got someone to love
Well it's alright, everything will work out fine
Well it's alright, we're going to the end of the line

Verse 3
I don't have to be ashamed of the car I drive
I'm just glad to be here, happy to be alive
It don't matter if you're by my side
I'm satisfied

Well it's alright, even if you're old and grey
Well it's alright, you still got something to say
Well it's alright, remember to live and let live
Well it's alright, the best that you can do is forgive

repeat from the beginning

Hi John--thanks for the lyrics and video. About the last four lines of the song--where you say repeat from the beginning fade: I noticed that only the first two lines repeat, the last two lines are completely new!

Oh, I'm so silly. These are lyrics with the song being sung right up at the top!! It's no wonder this one got made into a song!!!

Which song? I still mourn George (never got over John), now Tom and I'm sure we've reached the age where more and more great writers/singers who were so a part of who I grew to be, will be making their final transition. There is no talent comparable to the talent of one who can write lyrics, add music and sing. Impulse is responsible for me commenting when you probably sought none! CayCay
