Help me to forget,
 to stop this regret. 
Help me not to look,
 not to look at his face,
 that makes me long
 long to hear his song.

 not to love him so.
Help me stop thinking,
 stop thinking of that man,
 wake up and see
 he's forgotten me.

 for the gentle bard,

 and his guitar
 that made him my star.

Had to say that in response to the emphatic and poetic repetition in your write that demands an answer. Being a bit playful. To say I can relate to this poem would be an understatement, and I'm sure most humans have likewise implored for their heart pain to be released so this has universal appeal.
