Cave Dweller

Poor cave-dweller, come out! Come breathe the fresh air. Life is waiting for you out there. Living in darkness with despair ages you and greys your hair. Come to the light and leave the haze. It's waiting for you. Catch its rays. Just look up and never give up! By: Carole O'Terry Duet Copyright: 5/22/2017 "All Rights Reserved"

Thanks, Darlene. The poem is actually a metaphor for people who hide themselves away. Thanks for reading. Carole Duet

I really like this, Carole! Cave dwellers need to see the light of day and chase that gray away! (I hope mine comes in white when it completely changes over!!)

Thanks, Andrea. I'm so glad you liked it. Mine (the gray) is hiding...under the blonde. Shhhh...but don't tell everybody! lol

A lovely sentiment Carole (my hair is completely white, I guess that says a lot).

I know some more cave-dwellers Carole, and yeah you are right. Sometimes we need just that little push, don't we? :)

Yes we do, Darren. And, I know a couple myself, probably a mutual friend or two. ;-) Thanks for reading.

Bonsoir Carole, what a lovely and uplifting poem. Dwelling too long in the dark will do no good for your spirit, which reminds me, I need to walk the dog:) Amitiés

Thank you, Anne Marie. I have a tendency to be a "cave-dweller" myself. I just got back from walking my dog, Lilly. She's a Snoodle. lol (Snauzer + Poodle)

There it is, I was waiting for this to pop up. :) Nicely done Carole, many need to come out into the light. A great message in this one. Oh...and how did you know about the grey hair? :)

Thanks, Chris. Like I told you, your and Anne Marie's poems were my inspiration. And, the grey hair? Well, it's somewhere underneath my blonde. lol
