I love this poem, Carol! Speak that Cajun sass, woman. Made me smile and had my mouth watering for some that shrimp boiled food. Cool, cleverly written poem. Love and hugs, dear.

Love it indeed Carole! I had expected a 'local' French, but it's French French, and I love it (thanks Anne-Marie). What a great and fun poem my friend :D

Thanks, Darren. Yes, the people down here in the South speak Cajun French which is a little different from the "French French". So glad you liked the poem and music.

This was fun Carole and the music worked well with the poem. I have never been a big shrimp fan but fix up a plate of red beans and rice with some sausage and cornbread and I am a happy camper. :)

Oh yeah! For sure, Chris. I love that too. In fact, that's what I'll be cooking next Sunday but I'm making a dessert with sweet cornbread topped with blueberry sauce and ice cream. Yummm... oh, and thanks for reading the poem. Anne Marie Coreggia suggested the music and it was a perfect fit.

What an appetizing and inviting scene you bring to life in this poem! Makes me feel like going down to the Bayou. By the way, I love the song titled:"tous les Acadiens":) Amitiés

Hi Andrea! I added a music video to the poem if you would like to see it. It's in French (which I don't speak) but I love it and it really fits the poem.
