Lazy Minds

Lazy minds refuse to see
anything beyond the world of “Me”.

They don’t want to think
about the fact we’re on the brink.

They stay in their bubble about to burst
because knowledge is scary and for it they don’t thirst.

They’d rather be spoon-fed  “alternative facts”
since the truth requires brave acts.

And hate is more comfortable than love.
They are of the world, not from above.

Love requires effort to understand
beyond the abilities of ordinary man.
