Thank You! Greg, that's great. Cool It's a good website.

The Navy Pilot's Lover J.A. it's preposterously late here and I can read your poem again later, but I like it a lot. Don't see much to criticize. "deciding a decided decision" - I do think this sounds awkward, though. Cheers, Doug.

If someone never posts on my poem, is that bad? Scarlett, it's really only "bad" in that most of us want comments. Best thing to do is comment on other people's poems - some of them will read yours and comment.

I hate what I'm writing Scarlett, on the face of it I'd say, "stop writing that, and write what you like." But is there more to it than that? If it's as simple as that people like what you hate, that still does not mean that what you like will be hated by others - I promise you this is true for many that will read your poetry. Further - why were you writing what you say you hate? Did you have a need to write it? Sometimes it's best to get it out, whatever the deal is...

If someone never posts on my poem, is that bad? You can "work the system" to an extent. Just commenting on other people's stuff will automatically get you some reads and comments, but not necessarily on a one-for-one basis. When you submit a poem, it may be good to read and comment on the poems posted around the same time - the "Poems - New (All)" link on the left side of the webpage. Doing this will generate more views for your poem, and a higher number of views will induce some people to read your poem whereas otherwise they would not. Also, the "Poets - Top Community" - these are the most active people, currently. Better-than-average change that them reading your poem will get a comment, so it's probably a fertile ground to be reading and commenting on what they write.

Sending soup mail Hey Gayle. You don't get another message like you do with an incoming Soup Mail. There is a line of text that appears after you send - something like "Soup Mail was sent to Person...." There are several ways the website is confusing or not like it should be...

Newbie or not newbie? That is the question. Niamh - my opinion - write from your heart, write about what you know. There are many choices - long or short, rhymes or not, etc.

Greetings, from the dissociated poet Welcome, Rebecca.

The Mask of Alabaster Hey Brendan, I like it a lot. Intoxicating language. My only criticism would be that it's pretty over-the-top, like an exercise in vocabulary.

Queer Theory I like it a lot, GD. No criticism here.
