Because You're There

Written By: D. Collins 9/15/25

I'd wake up kissing you on your neck.
Then, slowly work down to suckle your breast.
Make every muscle in your body tense up and flare.
Treat it like candy because you're there.

I'd hug and squeeze until you felt my vibes.
Give you a dose of a real man wrapped up inside.
You should squeak and leak before going to work.
Completely juicy and moist before the insert.

Gently kiss your skin to send chills down your back.
Just because you're there, that's where I'm at.
Your sweet, warm body, butt naked and clean.
Is all the inspiration that I will ever need.

Life if lived fullest -2

Yes, scared for life, he dies a dismal death,
Life’s worth if lived fullest, life fraught with choice.
A life loved by the soul within is faith
That lets one live, not just exist sans joys.
To live is to die, left with no regret,
To wake next morn, feel light, all loads relieved.
A dance of chance to take, life’s not to fret,
Nor length of years, but years packed with life lived.
To live life full is then truly to live,
Challenges when come, to meet them head-on,
Grow wings, wander and leave, to no place cleave,
Love light, love night that reigns darkest ere dawn,
And take to sails, good sea or gusty gale,
If only life dares, new heights can one scale.

Life if lived fullest -1

If only life dares us new heights to scale,
Joy and thrill of adventures, not of rest,
Conquest of crests that feels like Everest,
Life lived like cut off kites that freely sail.
There’s thrill in a risk-starved scare-less soft ride,
Nor joy in scaling a tiny hillock,
In a high-sea drama rehearsed on dock,
Romance, nor wanderlust O with a guide.
Comes seafarers’ thrill in confronting life,
In braving woes as if they’re a tame bull,
Only he lives that lives life brimming full,
He that sails through hanging on stormy strife,
Not one way wary of his wobbling breath,
He, hardly does live, dies a dismal death.

Note: Time comes when one reflects on the life lived in the past, and wonders what if he had lived it another way. Man tends to secure a cocooned life made safer if not sure, devoid of risk and rough ride after dreaming for challenges in youth. Yet again he's left thinking about the rare joys of life missed out—if only ‘I had taken the road less trodden’! But… alas, it’s too late.
Part 2 of this poem follows.

Just Me

Written By: D. Collins 7/30/25

A heart from New Orleans.
A soul in South Central L.A.
Regardless of what anyone thinks.
That is who I am today.

I feel good in my skin for what I've done.
Beat the odds of most brothers where I'm from.
I've been fortunate enough to live a full life.
Get to where I've gotten through all the strife.

BeachBumPimpDaddyDarrell

Writt4n By: D. Collins 7/29/25

Should I step up like somebody down with the game.
Or, do what I do, that was highly ingrained.
Some people beg to differ and change what they see.
I ain't the one, they ain't in people like me.

BeachBumPimpDaddyDarrell is now my new name.
Just trying to go out by the water from which I came.
Whether the Pacific or Atlantic it doesn't matter to me.
As long as it's the biggest ocean stretch is out to sea.

My peeps gone do things when they visit DaddyPimp.
Let you know he's not the brutha you want to mess with.
I'm trying to get to the water and breathe in fresh air.
Slap myself around and know I'm actually there.

Where I'm From

Written By: D. Collins 7/26/25

There were people screaming from rooftops.
And not a single response from New Orleans cops.
I do exactly what I do and say what I say.
That, right there, just happened like yesterday.

I feel for my people and what they lived through.
My Granny living her last days on top of a roof.
I don't do N'awlinz 'cause she's no longer there.
My intimate feelings for Granny is why I am here.

Tears In My Eyes

Written By: D. Collins 7/26/25

I have tears in my eyes because of where I came from.
Knowing the unbelievable things that I have done.
What I have achieved stands second to none.
I wasn't supposed to make it past twenty-one.

My eyes bleed for those who didn't make the the trip.
Like my little brother, of whom, I wore on my hip.
As long as I live, I will have tears in my eyes.
Because I still can't believe I'm still alive.

Love Surrounds Me

Written By: D. Collins 7/25/25

It gives me the credence of exactly who I am.
That monstrous feeling of the return of the man.
Standing tall, looking ya'll right in the face.
And putting every perspective right in its place.

Love surrounds me in each and every way.
It gave me the skill to write this for ya'll today.
Honestly, I have a problem with starving kids.
Because that wasn't the way I was taught to live.

Love surrounds me in the most negative way.
That Gangsta MF that lasts for many days.
Children are children and deserve to live a life.
Without bombs waking them up at night.

Right By The Ocean

Written By: D. Collins 7/18/25

Amidst this chaos I'm at a loss for words.
I need to go to the water and regroup my verbs.
Hear the sound of waves splashing in my ear.
And an Atlantic breeze blowing through my hair.

Yeah 'Mon....'Dat right 'Dere is exactly what I need.
A long stroll by the water just to help me breathe.
A body of water with thousands of miles in between.
That little piece of the earth folks have never seen.

The Caged Bird Still Sings

Written By: D. Collins 7/7/25

I know the names of some of the greatest to ever dawn black skin.
Dr. Charles Drew, Miles Davis, Malcolm X, and James Baldwin.
Generations from now their achievements will be overlooked.
Due to coordinated efforts to remove them from history books.

There were the Buffalo Soldiers and Tuskegee Airmen.
Maya Angelou and descriptive writings of Toni Morrison.
We had Dr. Martin Luther King and Muhammad Ali.
Who gave hope to a population of people like me.

We've endured the longest deprivation mankind has faced.
You cannot remove something that refuses to be erased.
We've heard broken promises that never came about.
The Caged Bird Still Sings loudly from the top of the mount.

Internal Injuries

Written By: D. Collins 7/4/25

It's said that writers don't read, and readers don't write.
That may be true because I've done this for most of my life.
It gives me ultimate pleasure putting a pen to a pad.
Documenting all the things I want and wish I had.

Just be the man you think you are.
Lay down your stuff like a shining star.
Project positivity if you do nothing else.
Know exactly who you are inside yourself.

It gives it moment to just stop life in time.
Never having to look back and hit rewind.
Knowing what you're for and came to do.
Put forth the blessing God gave to you.

A Place of Pleasure

Written By: D. Collins 6/30/25

I'll be in a place of pleasure where wind soothes my bald head.
Far from the concrete jungles and snow-shoveling homesteads.
I'll be in the ocean with waves crashing all up against me.
Tasting salt water with nothing but sand under my feet.

A quiet place of pleasure sipping umbrella drinks.
Leaving bitter cold for those who love their minks.
I will lay in the sun and turn a dark, bronze red.
Do power walks on the beach versus working instead.

Learn to build sandcastles to amaze everyone's eyes.
Breathe that sigh of relief I've waited for all my life.
I can smell it, taste it, and gather it into my reach.
The next time you'll see me it will be at the beach.

Har har Mahadev

Har Har Mahadev!

Today I have nothing,
Nor anything to remember.
Look, I've set out like my birds,
Dreams taking flight.

I need to manage the kites of the era, soaring high,
And get them to their destination.
A battling kite, some are national creators,
And some are heroes.
A little bit of the worker's glass is on the string.

Guests are cutting through hell and heaven.
Look, on one side is a crow, on the other water.
On one side, identity is made by masks.
Today, recognize me from the cremation grounds, Har Har Mahadev!

With love all,
Jagdish Bajantri

Longevity of Hate

Written By: D. Collins 6/21/25

The longevity of hate has a wide-ranging girth.
It lies dormant for a while then has a drastic rebirth.
Since the 12th century hate has destroyed many populations.
The glimmer of gold, theft of land, and complete annihilation.

Anyone that is different are categorized as lesser men.
Yet, those responsible claim they're devoted Christians.
A skin color, your religion, or whom you choose as a mate.
Will certainly expose you to the longevity of hate.

It's a multi-tentacled beast that goes into foreign lands.
After not controlling the Poppy trade they fled Afghanistan.
Rare earth minerals is now top priority on their list.
Should you choose not to concede your life is at risk.

A Father's Day

Written By: D. Collins 6/15/25

A Father's Day is celebrated if he's done something good.
Putting in the heavy work and done everything he could.
He's the protector to ensure nothing happens to them.
That Almighy MF that's down for all his children.

A Father's Day extends throughout his whole lifetime.
He cries when he should but is always on the front line.
He looks out for those who aren't even his.
Just a Big Boss Dog for all the little kids.
