Mirror's Grab

It's too dark for her.
She daubs mascara on glass.
The mirror has no arms...
Night's just in the morning.
There existing, the eyes ran

Upon former years, tears 
The mood stops, reflecting
Make faces, she's mine
Broken embers from limbs

Vice and crash,
Both's empty blood —
She's twisting surfacing

Barbwire that
Blocks out

A Wilderness of Mirrors

Apparitions behind every mottled rock.
Shaded countenance surreptitious like shadows.
Fractured slivers and fragments boast -
On wall, ceiling and floor.
Splattered drop cloth - reflective dread.

Fun house of Zeus,
The zigs and zags -
Thundering fakes, illuminated lies.
She claws her face.

Crags of wilderness.
Deep etched drama.
Whirlwind’s not glue.

One face.
One mirror.

Truth

It's Not Too Late

No, it's not too late; 
It's n e v e r too late
to make your wrongs right,
to chase after dreams,
to a p o l o g i z e.

It's not too late
to fall in love,
to tell someone
your true feelings...

or to try
again, as 
long as you 

have breath 
within...

you.

Afterglow

bask with me, sweetheart, 
in the a f t e r g l o w
of gloaming sunset.
by nightfall, let's smile
with the crescent moon,

sing with the birds,
sigh with the wind,
wink at the stars; 
all snuggled up...

in comfort,
if you feel
so inclined.

Sound waves

A song on repeat,
you just let it spin.
For the sole purpose 
to maim and torture,
on an endless loop.

The lyrics burn 
with a record 
of an abyss
that altered me.

I believed 
I was strong,
a current.

Sound-waves
prove I’m 

weak.

breaking out of fear
seeking peace with tear
needing freedom gear
escaping from gloom’s steer
to love, drawing near…

soul in despair
cries for blest care
against cursed stare
midst what’s unfair…

faith smites doubt
conquers pout
from guilt’s route…

pride falls
heart calls…
