My New Contest - Len Gasun's Blog

Hello my dear poet friends! I'm glad to share with you few things today.

      Last April 27 to May 10, 2013, I went back home to visit my mom, my brothers with their families, my close and distant relatives and friends. You know what? I did have a great time with them especially with my mom. It was so sad that I'd a very short vacation; however, I tried my best to enjoy and to have a great and wonderful bonding with them. One of the most memorable events was our family reunion on my niece' first/1 yr. old birthday last May 9. On that day, many of my friends also came to visit me. I was so happy.
      Honestly, I'm quite homesick right now especially, it's weekend here. They're in my thoughts and those happy moments we shared. In other words, I miss my home. I miss them all and most especially, I miss my ever dearest mom. She got sick three days before I left and I brought her to the hospital; but, thanks God, she's getting better now.
      Yes, I'm really missing my home and I'm quite feeling blue. These feelings then gave me an idea to run a new contest with a theme, " A Home" which I'm pretty sure will put a big smile on my face;)) and also which everyone may  enjoy. Sad or new poem I'm sure may do.
       By the way, I also want to tell everyone that when I was back home, I'd a great time talking on the phone with one of our dear great poet friends here, Nette Onclaud. I wished, I hadn't run out of time to be able to visit her (8-9hrs 1 way travel from my place) and meet her personally. I wish, we can meet some other time to know more each other. I want  to thank her then for the wonderful personal sharing. It was  my great pleasure. Thanks a lot my dear friend, Nette.
        So, thank you so much also my dear poet friends for your precious time reading my little sharing.  I'm looking forward  for your entries on my contest. Please go and take time to read carefully the rules. Have a wonderful weekend to all of you and God bless!
