Death

Death
(andaree form)

This thief comes anytime of the day and night
With claws of raptor sharper than scythe
Grabbing us, loved ones or friends
Mortality ends
Soul departs
Hence
Lift our hearts
To God, He stays, tends
Transgressions, offenses mends
So that at hour of death we find the light
This thief comes anytime of the day and night.

A clever but sad take on the reality of death and you did it so well with this for... I like the use of words and comparisons.. philosophical and deep in a sense.. Best of luck in the contest..

Your "Death" is a wonderful write. Yes, it is a thief day or night. Wish you had it in the contest. Hugs... Have a blessed day writing away.........................
