SIDEWAYS

Trigger Warning: This poem contains references to teen suicide and human trafficking. Sometimes, life starts to go sideways, completely goes astray Without you even knowing it, somehow ... life gets away Don't throw a "Pity Party, and Why Me?" refuse to say Stop! Realize God sees your life and 8 billion others ... today! Someone's marriage goes down the drain. Someone's beloved pet dies. Someone thought sweetheart was faithful, painfully learned ... they lied. Some child grieves when notified, parents getting divorced. Fear, uncertainty, and self-blame, muffles ... each questioning voice. Teens driven by desperation, bullying stress, doubts, despair. Find their escape in suicide, convinced ... life isn't fair. Abduction of children, adults, trafficking of others. Zero comfort and, wilting hope police give ... Dads-Mothers. Revelation 22:1,2 promise that helps me cope Isaiah 25:8 God reveals, "God's Purpose" ... my true hope. Friends, life won't stop going sideways, this world can't help you cope. Jesus always turned to Jehovah, "God of Comfort" ... and hope. Tragedy of 9/11 horrific loss of lives. God's Word gives true answer to, "What happens ... when someone dies?"

Beata, I want you to know I always appreciate your heartfelt expressions and your encouragement. I have not been on P.S. for months. I've been working on a poetry book that I hope I can finish this year. Stay well, my dear friend.

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.
