Oh Lord, As I Lay Down To Sleep

Fear not of the undiscovered journey - the souls’s compass will show you the way ~ the poet
When the curtain finally falls and angel’s soft chimed voices calls there are no mourning tears to seep Oh Lord, as I lay down to sleep. Time to set forth upon my way towards that honeyed, nectar ray Pray not my dear loved ones to weep Oh Lord, as I lay down to sleep. Shell left behind for pure sheer bliss all mind’s attachments to dismiss eternal life so shall I reap Oh Lord, as I lay down to sleep. Loving arms gently guiding me amongst heavenly sights I see my saviour at my side to keep Oh Lord, as I lay down to sleep. Soul radiant as it takes flight fleeing shackles from dark to light Pray not my dear loved ones to weep Oh Lord, I awake from deep sleep.

Fav from Pangie, I think living ,is far more frightening than dying. You were raised to doubt God I feel sorry for you. Trusting human being that’s the downfall of a lot of people.. William, I known for being peaceful people we are known for hurting them. I’m only speaking from my experience so I’m gonna make sure all understand.. Excellent! PR It depends on what you’re reading regarding internal life. I’m referring to only the Old Testament or the New Testament.. they don’t compare.

We are commanded to Love God. It took a long time for me to find that love. It was more a fear thing. But in this I see the kind of love I speak of.

A blissful poem, Christina---it reads like a prayer in solemn words:--Loving arms gently guiding me amongst heavenly sights I see my savior at my side to keep---comforting embrace of final moments. I like the turn in ending line as well. Superbly executed!

Your poem captures the serene acceptance of life's end and the journey into the unknown with grace and tranquility. The repetition of 'Oh Lord, as I lay down to sleep' creates a soothing rhythm, echoing the surrender to a higher power. The imagery of angelic voices and heavenly sights paints a picture of a tranquil passage from this world to the next, where there is no room for mourning tears, only the anticipation of eternal bliss.
