Blemished

Blemished; tarnished as brass
In search of hidden places to rest
Floundering in seas of murky haze
Struggling through each cloudy day
Reaching out from the abyss
Yet helping hands stay far away

Date: 3/16/2016 1:29:00 PM

Life can get very lonely at times, but now and then we find a friend who helps us get our lives back on the right track... This emotive piece is one that I think most of us can relate to. Nicely penned, Karen.

Helping hands are closer than people realize, sometimes pride prevents people from asking for help.

it often seems at our darkest hour that no one is around to offer help, though they are, sometimes you just need to work through things on your own and if we fall they will help pick us back up :) I like this one! hugs

I love the animation in this poem, not just imagery, but action. It works well. The only change I might suggest would be to swap the "Reaching out . . ." and "Struggling through . . ." lines. I think that would link the last line better to the whole. Well done and very moving.

powerful message. Too often we turn away, or just don't see hands stretched out in need.

Helping hands sometimes love better from a distance, pointing to the great signs of self motivation, make your beautiful Art from the clouds of promises. You are so subtle in your sorrow, its pretty. J.A.B.

Nice write about someone reaching out for a helping hand, but it's not readily available. An imaginative write.
