Forgotten Valentine

The world is made for lovers, on this new Valentines Day And that was from my brother because it had gone astray. He sent it to his girlfriend; I had hoped the card was for me But when I opened it, I was shocked at the words I did see. My brother professing love for me, I knew his handwriting well He told me how I would see his heart begin to swell. As you may imagine, this shocked me to the core When the postman came back and knocked upon the door. “That card I put through here, it was not meant for you I know your brother well and he asked me this to do. Put it through his girlfriend’s door, to save the prices a stamp I have put it though the wrong one, the bulbs gone in the street lamp.” “That’s ok”.
