Mini Soup Conventions and Zip-Lining

Many of you know I recently had the chance to meet Sara and Doris for a mini soup-convention. Well I've now had the opportunity to meet Deb Guzzi (and Dane Ann again) when I traveled to New Hampshire to kick another item off the bucket list -- zip-lining through the towering White Mountains wearing two coats and two sweaters.

Deb G. met my old friend Barbara at an airport in New Hampshire and we had another mini-convention. (Bio photo with Dane Ann taken a day earlier.) More photos in my photo album - link above.

I am working with a Soup member on an idea for a new contest to be co-judged. In the meantime, I hope to go skydiving possibly as early as next week.

Looks like fun and work at the same time..Might even be a little painful..Bucket list..To go back to Ana Ruby Falls at Helen Ga..Maybe with the electric cart this time since my health has failed since the last time that I was there..Sara

I have so many things on list that my bucket would be full. I would love to sky dive but with a bad back not possible. So nice you were able to meet with each other. Thank you for sharing your special time with us.

What interesting responses! I have already been parasailing and would like to "adopt a Greek" as iolanda joked. Handsome men. Catie, deepening your spirituality is certainly a worthy bucket list item. Natalie, let's go sky diving together! Cyndi, I have no fear of heights but would prefer a cruise on a fishing boat to a pleasure boat cruise. Cool goal to see the other countries! John, what size plug should I send you for your bucket so that it retains your beer? LOL I should add seeing England to my bucket list. Love, Carolyn

I wanted to go whale watching. That was on my top 10. And I have. Though I am TERRIFIED of heights, I do want to go hot air ballooning. I would love to see Wales and Scotland. And I'm not a cruiseship type girl, but I've heard some CARGO ships actually have passenger capability. This appeals to me. The idea of just taking in some deck time, looking at the ocean and reading, writing, thinking, no crowds. I DID go to a Jesuit retreat for a day of silence. I would like a week of that. A true sabitical... I would love to visit Provence or Tuscany... Now, as for sky diving? AWK! I'd have to double bag my fanny in Depends. No way, no how... but it's really cool that you're going for it. I WOULD try parasailing (I think that is what it is called). And I would love to learn to FLY a plane (so expensive, they offer lessons at our small, local airport). Number one on my bucket list is to see my girl graduate from either college or university in a field she loves. I know, corny! But I'm old mama!

I'm not ready for a bucket list yet Carolyn. Still wet behind the ears. My bucket has a hole in it, won't hold no beer. If boat rides were only a quarter a ride I would have to run up and down the bank yellin, "An't that cheap." smile.Just joking lady. You go girl! Agape, Moses

I've flown in a number of different things, but if they asked me to leave while still in the air, I would have had to change my shorts. Skydiving! Go for it! I'll stay here on the ground. Vince
