New

Beginnings

Not sure what Earth’s future will bring Even now as we embark on a new start Working to correct past mistakes But we are resolved to make it work this time Excited, we vow to move beyond past stumbles Going green is a concept whose time has come In rainforests we hear the whimpers of hope No more destroying No more waste If we share this goal, we will succeed Never will we have another chance God grant us the wisdom and strength Save our fragile planet *February 3, 2021 For John Hamilton’s New Beginnings Contest

Oh I do so agree Carolyn. Our planet was created to heal itsef just like our bodies were created to be able to heal itself. But man in his great intelligence has just about improved us into extinction. Great job here. God Bless, JB

Hello Carolyn … very wise advice indeed. We must be educated into believing we are a part of nature and not in control of it - thank you Carolyn - Lindsay

I see this is in the winners list Carolyn, and deservingly so, the subject matter surely needs a total commitment from all on the planet, and poetry like this will further the cause.

What with all the nuclear leaks poisoning the water, The oil spills doing the same, The rape f the forests, etc. the only thing that can help is if God Himself intervenes and that will only happen if we all keep praying and asking. A fine write my friend. God Bless, JB

I'm just grateful the US has rejoined the Paris Climate Accord. Yes, God can help us solve the problem. If all nations do their part, we should be able to reverse most of the problems.

I am in full agreement. We need to repair mother earth before it is too late. We can no longer ignore what is happening to our beautiful world. This is a wonderful meaningful acrostic Carolyn. Blessings Connie xxoo

It is an uphill battle because so many believe they don't need to do anything because the Resurrection will restore everything perfectly! Aloha! Rico

I fear for future generations who inhabit our planet. Come Judgment Day, souls will be fleeing a dying planet.

Your photo is a wonderful complement to your ode to the environment, Carolyn. Much inspiration in your verses to protect our earth from wasteful policies. I join your sentiments in this prayer for a new beginning. All the best.

Thanks for the visit, Vijay. Now that nations are working together on climate again, I believe there is hope that future generations will benefit from the actions we take today.
