Where Now a Butterfly Sits

In innocent lie
Amidst the lightening dew
Poppies in mourning
She unknown, taken at will
Where now a butterfly sits

Wow! I love this tanka, James. Very cool image of the poppies in mourning and the one who is taken at will at the spot where a butterfly now sits. Definitely a fave for me. Just love those butterflies! We have so many beautiful ones here. If you haven't already entered the "legends" contest, I think the theme is right up your alley and hope you will. Love, Carolyn
