Father of Three

Father of three
Arthur by name, the arts were his passion
Teacher of accounting, Little League, whistling
Heard on radio performing original children’s stories
Even tempered, steadfast mentor and protector
Raised by an aunt to be the father he never had
Singer, dancer, player of the sax and clarinet

Dad, this Father’s Day I stare at your portrait
And a few teardrops fall again
Your absence is never missed more than on Fathers Day

Wonderful tribute, Carolyn. Your father overcame a lot in being such a great father without ever having a father himself to model the role for him. ~ gw

When I was growing up, all my friends liked my father. He didn't mind picking up half a dozen students after a school dance and driving each one home. Thanks for your lovely comments!

My dad plays the clarinet. We are missing my Mom. She died last month so I join you in those tears. We hoped she’d be here for Mother’s Day. Heartbreak. Great tribute to your Dad!
