'remember To Smile'

Remember to smile Even if you are dying inside Remember to hold your head up high Even if your knees feel like they want to yield Remember to cry on the inside Where the Lord knows your heart Even when you feel like giving up Remember the scars on His hands He never gave up on you He is still cheering for you His unfailing love, Has been present even when you could not love yourself People will love you today, Tomorrow you will be a distant memory They will hurt you today, Tomorrow they will act like nothing has changed Remember to smile; it will move your soul Remember to smile; Tomorrow you try again…

This was my aunt's philosophy, Wilma. She felt we could lift our spirits simply by smiling. I do think it helps. Love this poem. Goes to my favorites in Aunt Eva's memory. Love, Carolyn

Wilma, you are so right about smiling. Smiling, even through the most adverse situation can be testimony of where we derive our strength. A nice lil mini-sermonesque poem! Enjoyed!

I will say, bravo to you Wilma. This is beautiful and filled with truth. Shows the heart and spirit of one who believes in her Creator and herself, wise enough to know that there will be a tomorrow no matter what's happened today. One for my Fav. List. today. Love you, girl! Annalise
