A Feast For My Eyes

While taking a well-earned break
Enjoying the warmth of a sunny day
Feel the soft breeze brush against your face
Catch a glimpse of life renewing itself
Budding flowers, trees and the constant chirp
Of new born chicks tucked in their nests
I am grateful for all these simple things
Another day given with eyes to behold
These magical beauties of God's creation
A feast for my soul and eyes each spring

Glad you liked "Fred's Desk". It's waaay better if you send missives to me via regular email; it's much less clunky and with endless options like sharing photos. I like your Spring poem above. Ahhh, the constant 'chirp'- it's a wonfrous music. It looks like Spring's finally here. ~Jim

Refreshing and uplifting verse Annalise. I have to take Benydril to enjoy the spring unfortunately, but just as well through shelter of glass! Keep the ink flowing girl.

Sweetie, spring truly is a time of renewal and this "feast" as you describe it warms my heart. Hope you are truly feeling some spiritual renewal, dear. Would love to take a spring walk with you to see the budding flowers and newborn chicks. We need to take joy in the natural wonders God has bestowed on us. Love your poem and it goes to my favorites. Love and blessings, Carolyn
