Probing the Unconscious Space

If the unbearable lightness of being has pushed you to the brink of catastrophic meltdown,
walk to the edge of our flat two-dimensional existence
and take a leap of faith...

You may drift through space for quite some time
eyeing the stars, the planets, the galaxies
that make up the great and boring universe beyond.

Eventually you'll come across darker, scarier territory,
unseen with the naked eye
yet comprising 95% of all matter,
and all that matters,
otherwise known as the unconscious.

Some day you'll feel safer in the void,
more secure,
at peace.

With not one mirror in sight to reflect your self concept,
everything and nothing make perfect sense here,
for they are one and the same.

You are the only observer
of man's true final frontier
and his one and only mystery.

BRILLIANT! Yoni, there are many times when we are caught up in circumstances that seem to be leading to a "catastrophic meltdown." But, as you relate so well in this excellent write, we need only "take a leap of faith" to find there are more important things than the petty frailties and misgivings that contribute to our self concept and cause us to be self centered! Amazing Poem -- one for my faves! Love, Carolyn

Very interesting. Yoni. I like it. Your use of outerspace in the this poem, is does relate ideas about the importance of man to himself and to the universe. Although I have a very NON-BORING concept of our universe, (Follow this like to see Genesis Decoded. http://www.redbubble.com/people/daneann/writing/3355478-genesis-decoded )The way you used OS with reference to 2-D space, jumping off, passing celestial bodies as you go to the void, worked quite well in this poem. It's good. Love,Dane mail

"the world's a better place today, no?" Yoni asks...refer to Harmless and Normal (above..dear one.."eyeing"...a unique observation above & I have found the dark to be a safe place often yet I feel the unconscious is the truer reality.) Light & Love

Hi Yoni ... great write, I am in agreement with you. Thank you for your comment, you make a very good point about making assumptions, perhaps I do. It is refreshing to hear from a thoughtful mind.... I will read more of your work when Ican find the time
