our
time
cashed out
way before
the meter expired
sending our dreams somersaulting
helter skelter to the whims of what never was planned
leaving fairy tales breathless, our favorite song, weeping still, in the landfill of love

Must say, I had to read this one again and add it to my faves, Jim. It describes well the way I felt when my husband died so young.
